Narrowed down to three options, based on the following criteria; As close to Stock Android as possible Must be available from Koodo, in Canada Saying that, I've looked at, and did some preliminary research on, these three. LG G4 Motorola Moto-G Plus (Water resistance!) Motorola Moto-G Play Suggestions, comments are welcome
I'm using the LG G5 at the moment, and I rather like it. Not sure what the updates were between the 4 and 5 models however.
My previous phone was the Moto X, and I was very happy with it. Moto definitely didn't deviate much from stock android back then. I'm currently using a Nexus 5x which runs stock android and like it as well. The only small complaint I have is that the 5x is a larger sized phone when compared to the Moto X I used. Have you considered the Nexus 6p? That handset will give you a stock android experience.
Basically, I don't use my phone a super huge amount. I'm not even sure I need a finger print scanner that's on the plus.
I hear that, I opted for the Nexus 5x because of price and the fact that it was smaller than the 6P. Koodo won't support the Nexus 5x? It's what I currently run, and you can probably find them for super cheap since the new google phones will be available soon. The 5x is compatible with all carriers in the US so I'd be surprised if it didn't work on the Koodo network. I ended up buying mine directly from the Google play store and just got a sim installed by my carrier of choice. In addition if Google Project Fi is available in Canada, you can use Google as your wireless carrier.
You may want to wait a couple weeks or research when the new Google phones will be available since that may cause a price drop in the 6P. If you can't wait, I would go with a moto phone because i really liked my moto x.
Thanks for the info, but I don't need it anymore! My phone was found, and taken to Lost and Found, where I had reported it lost, then found it.
Give in to the dark side and just get a Iphone 7 plus. now without 64GB version... goes from 32, 128,256, i think now. how stupid. Or a galaxy note 7, can also be used as a hot plate to cook food or as a fire cracker on holidays.
I have a Galaxy 7 Edge... I actually quite like it overall.... Though these days I am glad I didn't get talked into the Note
