A good way to fight depression is gaming! :D

I'm going to be out of town this weekend, but next week I'd be up for some MWLL! If you don't mind me sucking at it anyway.

Mine is the consequence of working for family in a small business. We don't work, we don't eat, and I LIKE eating.

I'll try to get some MWLL time in during the evenings, I know a few nights are booked up. Plus now that I got MegaMek I'm hooked on it too.

MegaMek gets worse when you sign in to TeamSpeak, cause the damn Brits (Alex and Evernigh) are ALWAYS looking for a game.

I haven't played anybody else yet, just some of the built-in scenarios while I get my head wrapped around it.

I never really played tabletop, way back in the day I bought the intro boxed set and read the rulebook but none of my friends ever wanted to actually play. So now I am getting the "refresher course".

Have you tried going to wargames shop? Over here they are hanging place for tabletop maniacs and its easy to get someone to play.
And as for mechwarrior, as i said i will have 2 weeks of free time to play pretty much everyday from 7 A.M. to 9 P.M. with maybe 4 or 5 days taken out for warhammer and rpg sessions.

When I first got the stuff I was only 11-12 and we didn't have any gaming shops where I lived, closest one was 30-45 mins away and I didn't have a way to get there easily. Nowadays I have found that the computer version is SO much quicker and easier since all the rules and rolling and such are built in. Plus I don't have to spend money and time on miniatures and paint

Its just not the same without rolling ridiculous amount of 40d6 by hand and seeing my goblins horde do nothing because none were 6.

I think this thread got a bit off track

I'd be up for some gaming this weekend, just let me know what's being planned to play because I more than likely don't have it installed. I need to learn MegaMek too. Having never played the TT, or rather the Classic TT, and choosing not to adhere to the internet commandment of RTFM left me with swirls for eyes trying to figure out what to do. lol

I have Mechwarrior 4 mektek and MW:LL but as for megamek we are planning on buying introductory with friends but its in distant future so neither do i know the rules nor i want to learn them now, maybe in several months. If anyone is interested in games outside of battletech universe i got Homeworld 2 Complex 7.4.4 and obviously terraria and minecraft i was also thinking about a little game of dwarf fortress bloodlines.

Why buy introductory when megamek is free?

And all the rules are already in the game.

EDIT: Do they even sell intoductory for megamek od do you mean TT?

I meant TT, playing wargames for me just not work without painting miniatures, rolling dices and obviously socialising with people in person.

Yeah that's the cool thing about megamek, all the rules are built in so it does all the calculations for you and will tell you if you can't do something.

Definatly the most useful part of it all. I have trouble remembering things and for it to take something that vastly complex and condese it for me so I dont have to re-read all the books every game is a life saver.
