For some reason, lately my RPG nerve has been tingling like hell. I've been doing a couple of adventures with some friends (I tend to do the GMing because... because), and i'm wondering if anyone would be interested in playing in an early medieval/dark ages themed RPG setting me and some friends have been working on for a while. It is a low fantasy, there is magic and dwarves and all that shebang, but it is all very significantly toned down and focuses on humans almost entirely. The system i would suggest would be a modified version of the Swedish RPG "Drakar och Demoner: Trudvang" (Seventh edition). Pros of this system: Easy to understand and streamlined character creation Allows a lot of depth in character creation (I.E whiles having an "archetype" system, it does not lock the players at all. you can easily create pretty much any character you can imagine) Interesting but simple combat system Not miniatures based Interesting wilderness and hunting mechanics Cons: I would have to translate it, as far as i know it is not available in English Not as complicated or as in depth as other systems Not suited for large-scale combat, not that i was planning it The weapon mechanics are lackluster to say the least, i'm considering modifying them further. If we choose to do this, we would start having our sessions at some point in January after i get back from Portugal.
