MRW he started zooming out, showing thousands upon thousands of stars and said each one consist of an entire solar system with explorable planets and moons.

honestly though its lookin pretty damn cool if consistently pretty damn arcadey. games like this i feel live or die though on their ability to allow players to really make their mark on the world whether its fighting over valuable resources, building and defending a kickass base, or having some other mechanism to "master" besides just upgrading your suit/gun/ship and hoping for good RNG on whatever is generated by the engine next. i'll definitely be keeping my eye on it to hear about how they plan to keep players playing after the initial coolness factor wears off a bit, but it looks like a casual explorer's paradise

isn't this the game where you could spend your whole time playing and only see a handful of people ever?

maybe if I was a hikikomori with severe social anxiety I would find this game a bit interesting.

The more I see of it, the more boring it looks. As far as I can tell, there's no real way to make any mark on the world. You basically just fly around and look at the pretty landscapes.

If I'm getting the right idea, there seem to be these crystals on a lot of worlds? Possibly on all? Then you 'mine' them a bit and fly to next place?

Also saw a fleet battle that in itself looked ok but I had no idea what was really going on with it so I can't really tell.

At first I thought this was going to be like minecraft where you can fly to other planets and even have things like defending your bases etc. but I'm not really sure as to what this game is about.

    Cautiously excited and interested.

As for leaving a mark -- you can name planets, creatures and plants. First come first serve. Also, from one of the videos the developer hinted that you can pretty much mine a whole planet if you wanted. The problem is getting away with it. Too much interference yields stars, like GTA. There are monitors that will attempt to eliminate you.

It's very much a weekender, like Minecraft. You play it in between new game releases. It will never get old because you can pretty much do whatever you want: create, destroy, pirate, name everything dickbutt (hopefully you can enable a filter), explore or seek the center of the universe.

don't know what a hiki-whatever is, but if I catch the meaning you don't need to have social anxiety to want to avoid people :)

also, from all the videos I've seen there will be plenty to do if you like games like Minecraft and Ark (the latter probably being a closer example). If not, then the game is probably not for you. Exploration seems to be a big part of the game and if you are like me, that will get you plenty excited enough.

Hikikomori is a Japanese term for people with extreme social anxiety. This is to the point of never leaving there bedroom or home. If they do leave it is at night when the least amount of people are out.

Don't forget that average gamer is a misogynist and commits acts of terrorism such as suicide bombings against feminists and they're also racist. Hence the term gamer must be eradicated forever and it's cool for a lot of devs to bash gamers online. Actually seen professional developers on Quora answer "what's the biggest problem in games industry" with "gamers" ffs.

Hikikomori's are known to only leave there bedroom only a few times a month. The more extreme maybe to a couple times a year to never leaving at all. Some even go completely crazy killing there families if there lifestyle is some how threatened.

The more you know... Wait I have something to contribute as well!

    :D

Actually, I knew of this in Japanese society, but I never knew they had a specific term for it. I believe there have even been animes that specifically deal with this issue. Was rather interesting to see that.
