ogame.org (there are portals to a ton of other sites that cater to non-english players also) Any ogamers out there? If you haven't played, its a free browser game, highly addictive and very stressful. It is also awesome. I've played for years so if anyone finds it interesting let me know and I can help you get started quick and easy.
I refuse to get into ogame again. I played in 2004, 2006-7, and then again in 2011. Just... No more ogame for me.
I'm confused by the trailer, what's the actual game like? Looks like a spreadsheet interplanetary conflict game?
Yes, the actual game is text based. It's "simple" resource management at first, slowly building up production facilities and researching technologies. Soon you can start building ships from a scrawny light fighter all the way up to an actual, moon-destroying capable deathstar (only people build hundreds or even thousands of them, eventually... Good luck Skywalker...) Fleets are used to attack other players for resources or even attack other fleets to harvest the battle debris from space. It starts off so simple, then gets very very complicated... Soooooo fun.
It is a MAJOR time sink. I wouldn't even suggest playing it unless you can manically pay attention to it every couple of hours a day and are prepared to schedule your entire life around ogame events.
Oh wow, that brings back memories! I played Ogame YEARS ago, I had forgotten the name actually it's been so long. Yeah, no thanks. It's just people who have been playing for years brutally ganking newbies and raping them up their ass. Since you can essentially just keep "leveling up" into infinity. I used to go to their forums also, even posted in an actual RP game there.... teh horror.
