Raceroom is my prefered game for racing offline against AI. The game have the best sound. A large selection of cars and tracks that I enjoy. It also have one of the best AI out there. New things are constantly added to it. At the end of november they added the Audi R8 LMS GT3, Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R and Mercedes AMG GT3. They plan to release 3 Porche cars before the end of the year. Porche 911 GT3 Cup, Porche Cayman GT4 and Porche 911 GT3-R The game is unusual in how you buy content. The basic game is free but it only comes wit 2 tracks and some cars. Then you purchase whatever you want individually. There are also some packs that can be bought once that givery you a collection of content for a discount.
New update bringing a new track and updates to some older cars. GTR 1 and GTR X have been merged into one class and all the cars have been upgraded with new physics. The GTR X cars have been balanced to fit into the GTR 1 class. They are also releasing a new but old Nissan GTR GT1. People who played the game back in 2012 might remember it but since then it have been sitting in a dark virtual garage. The Pagani Zonda R have been moved to make it's own single-make cup with new liveries
It has been some time since raceroom had a proper update. While they have dropped some small updates. They didn't want to release something that could affect the esport competitions that they have been running but the last competition ends on the 11th November so the update should come sometime after that. The devs have said that it will be huge. So far they have only announced this which they did today but the devs are communicating more then usual and it sounds like more is on the way.

The update was released yesterday. Haven't had the time to test everything yet but so far it's been great. While the content that was released and updated is good the primary point of the patch have been to improve the user experience and especially for new users. 2 reoccurring complaints about the game have been that there is too little free content in the game and that it's too difficult to drive without a wheel. They are improving on both of these. They have decided as an experiment to make the car "Formula Raceroom Junior" free aswell as the track "Sepang". They also reworked their approach to driving assist. Improving them, adding more of them and giving more control of what is enabled to both players and server hosts. There are more improvements but don't really need any mentioning unless you are already playing.
It have not been long since the last update but they already have a new one. It contains a new car and one of the most requested features. Porsche 934 Turbo RSR (Group 4) They have also been sharing a bit of what is to come. 2 more historical Porsche cars early 2019. They plan to expand the group 4 class that was added this patch. They have 6 tracks in the work. 1 European, supposedly not that famous but a good layout, 1 WTCR track, 1 WEC track and a hillclimb. No clue on the remaining 2. 2019 looks exciting.
@Aspius How often do they put the packages on sale? somehow had missed out that you could use VR and now I'm really looking at picking this up. Between the discount on credits at raceroomstore and the current price of the premium pack it works out to $65 just slightly higher than the ~$56 back during the blackfriday sale. Not sure if it is worth waiting or just going ahead and pulling the trigger for $9 more (also includes the newer products since nov)
They tend to have a few sales per year, atleast with the ingame credits. Not sure how often they do with the packages. They usually go on sale during big holidays but other then that im not sure. I personally think its definetly worth it at $65 but ofcourse its better at ~$56. Depends on how long you are willing to wait. The premium pack includes everything available in the store at the moment of purchase. It even includes the FR-90 that was released this week. However it can only be purchased once. I have spent over 350 hours in the game and love it. I can help with anything you might have questions about.
