Definitely do the tutorial, there are a lot of advanced moves you would not think of that it teaches you.
I am also enjoying it for its 5 minute matches. Short fun shenanigans. It is very polished and does what it aims to do well. And no micro transactions!
Ugh you guys made me buy it. Its fun, played a few hours last night. The skill ceiling is very high, especially on aerial maneuvers. Having the control to turn or not turn your car in the right direction and judging the ball bouncing, etc, is very tricky.
Simple basic rules but lots of possible depth. It makes it pretty cool. What is your favorite team size atm? I have mostly stuck with the 3v3 in multiplayer.
2v2 if I am with someone, 3v3 if I am by myself. 4v4 is fun for just a bash the ball game, but it really just devolves into everyone running into everyone, there are not as many good tactical plays.
3v3 followed by 4v4. Both allow for some nice tactical options. Most of the time it just turn into everyone chasing the ball. That's sort of expected though. As people start learning and you move higher in the ranks more tactics start to appear.
