I played a 2-1 today where my teammate quit at the first second. I was up 3-4 when they tied at last second and got a fluke kickoff goal at the start. I'll try to upload the replay, I was pretty proud of it although I could tell the opposition wasn't great.
Second DLC was announced some time ago, Revenge of the Battle-Cars. It is scheduled for release in October. It will feature a pair of new cars, Scarab and Zippy taken from Rocket League's predecessor. 12 new decals (six for each car) and a bunch of new paint types, wheels, rocket boosts, toppers, and antennas. A free update released alongside will bring in two new variations of existing stadiums, those being Urban Station (Night) and Utopia Coliseum (Dusk).
Yea I'm having issues getting out of Silver II. Basically your opponents are random from what I understand, they could be higher rank, they just adjust your point gain/loss by the ratio. So essentially you can run up against really good people or bad people. They do try to constrain it but the longer it waits the more it expands.
It tries to find someone close to your rank and the longer you wait the more spread it becomes. Also it's really hard to get anywhere when you win a game and make 3 points and then when you lose, you lose 7 points.
So, guys, this doesn't seem to be a popular game in hte 'Borg. On the surface, it seems pretty simple and plain, but honestly this is one of the best/funnest games I've played in years. Its easy to pick up, basics are easy to grasp, but the skill ceiling is ridiculously high. You're constantly learning and getting better and the game at higher skill levels is amazing. It also has 5 minute matches meaning you can play a game here and there without tying yourself up for an hour. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who likes fast paced tactical gameplay akin to soccer or hockey with flying cars to try this, you won't regret it. I actually think its closer to hockey, it has many similar concepts like cycling in corners, centering passes, boards, hitting other cars (and exploding them), general positioning... just has a Z axis added. One note, controller is highly recommended over kbm, but not required. Plus deloreans!
honestly, change the cars for rocket pack wearing ninja (or anything else involving people instead of vehicles doing improbable things for improbable reasons) and I'd be much more into it
This game is just a lot of fun. I can recommend it to anyone. Now you can also have the car from "Back to the future" First time I saw this. I thought it was a great save. All I can see now is you almost failing to make the save.
