Sweet, I just got my friday nights freed up so I'll be returning as your ever vigilant Focke Wulf/Panzerknacker in the sky.

Yes, well, I'm beginning to think this whole thing is becoming a waste of time. >.>

 

Perhaps we should diversify our hangars a little? Create an alternate flight wing? Give out free biscuits during sorties?

What does the people think?

 

Sorry Deathwatch, I completely forgot. I think I was on, but distracted by other things. Sometimes I need a swift kick in the butt.. I will try to do better next time.

 

I think it's time we put the group and its regular activities on hold, gentlemen. As it goes, too little interest and too few people to make the activities fun.

We can still do the occasional organized event, and keep this thread up along with our structure, such as it is.

 

No worries, I know you in particular are really busy with your own stuff.

 

Chin up, sir. Change is coming. I think SG2 will become a little more active once Ground Forces become available in Open Beta.

Well, not only more active, but also much more relevant.

I would also propose a sister unit to SG2 - the ground-based 7th Panzer Division. Same players, just a different role. I believe a coordinated, combined-arms effort would be highly effective (and tons of fun). Also, it would be necessary, especially our Fw-190's, as currently the Soviet players rely far more heavily on Air Support than tanks (with game-deciding effects - last night I was repeatedly butchered by Peshkas and SB2M's). Our Stukas, few and brave as they are, were decimated in the sky by near-invincible IL-2's or torn apart by Soviet AA.

Once OB hits - we must take the fight to Ivan! For the Fatherland!

 

I've been been flying Stuka's in closed beta tanks, its waaaay more fun to shoot people than AI tanks. I got a double kill yesterday, than crashed into a tree.

 

Now imagine you had somebody on the ground actually directing your wrath... just not your tree-hitting. Borfians are adept at tree-hitting all their own.

This afternoon session I will be trying my own Stukas/Fw's to see how it goes.

 

I'll probably be playing a little later today, but not until the evening EST. I haven't tried the FW190s yet in CTB

 

I dreamt of Stukas last night.

The time is near.

 

Flying my FW's with bombs are so much more rewarding now. Just fly in, spray down the IL-2 spammers and then drop a 250kg on a capture point full of tanks; priceless.
