In a few sentences, how would you describe yourself to us?
Passionate, I have to start with the inescapable fact - the things I care about I tend to be passionate about, in good and bad. Like, "I'm on the path of an artist right now, that's all I care about for the time being" but perhaps with a couple of topics.

I enjoy the act of discussing things and view a good constructive argument to be one of the best ways to learn more.

As of late, respectful. Respect is that part where one gives room for other people who don't share the passions, don't want to just argue and who will have opposite opinions.

I also like to think of myself as organized and systematic but I'm anything but. My office is a literal mess, I just do whatever, I forget and confuse everything all the time and end up in more awkward situations than mr. Bean.

While I still work with games I also engage in Historical European Martial Arts of the German longsword and Fabris's rapier, rapier and dagger and rapier and cape, as well as traditional longbow archery - getting into it, at least.

In a few sentences, how would you describe your gaming habits?
As of late I don't have a whole lot of time to play but when I have played it's been some DCS, Warframe and above all Factorio. Been thinking of getting the Warhammer TW.

Work, family and fencing really eat away at available time but that's OK, at some point in future I'll have more time again and I will be crying for the kids to notice me

What are you looking for from this community?
I've really missed you lot!
I really like the mood and the folks. I still cling to my unofficial work title as space viking!

Looking to stay in contact and on those semi rare occasions that circumstances allow to play with you too.

How did you hear about the Skjaldborg?
Besides from my memories originally it was on the MWO forums. Sgt Helm iirc.

What do you feel you will bring to the community?
Awkward situations, confusion, maybe an attempt at cracking a joke (5+ D6), really, just another person to talk with primarily on the forums and maybe playing company once in a blue moon.

So, while not necessarily a regular pilot to drop with I can sit on top of that pile of papers so the breeze won't scatter them about, for one.

Primarily another person to take part in discussions with my own unique set of knowledge.

On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being very casual, and 10 being very hardcore what is your ATTITUDE?
In fencing I tend to drive myself pretty hard but in games I'm increasingly leaning towards roleplaying side of things and the experience, immersion and so, being a part of the world and acting one's role in it, stuff like that.

Which competitively is very casual, 2 or so but at the same time roleplaying tends to suffer if people don't at all stick to character, which is fine for casual roleplaying as long as there's no confusion about it - such as on 35th hour your inquisitor suddenly stops interrogating the prisoner and suddenly starts throwing cream cakes at people. Unless that actually works, I mean, it just might be the thing. Depends on context and circumstances!

How many hours per week do you estimate you play online games?

What time zone do you normally game in?
GMT+2, 11-12 lunch break and sometimes 19-20 in the evening.

I stress a lot less these days and feel more whole. At the same time I'm less concerned for the world events and I also feel like I'm not racing against the clock to somehow prove myself to the world. I just do things that I enjoy, follow my plans for the better or worse and want to keep in touch with all my friends as time permits.

I managed to present our fencing club in a public attack against us by another club where I received thanks for my matter of fact attitude and honorable conduct. Now our clubs are on friendly terms.

Preference is with more roleplay but I don't mind doing it the other way around either

 

did you ever figure out that light sensitivity problem you were having with you eyes?

 

Yes, in fact - the school gym hall we used for fencing was closed for the summer and we had to fence outside in parks and on beaches. At first I was wearing sunglasses and a cap but I needed to take the sunglasses off when I put my mask on.

Eventually I just decided to just harden myself to it and what do you know - just dealing with it without sunglasses on all those sunny days got me rid of the whole thing. I mean I still benefit from a cap and sunglasses if the sun is low and I'm driving but I can do perfectly fine without them.

I wonder if it was all in my head, really. Certainly seems that way.

Also I think I am a lot less on edge nowadays. I pretty much stopped following news and politics - the things that got me all worked up - and focused on the things that I love. Like hitting other people with steel.

 

It's me on the left, both my outdoor and indoor shoes come with black and red theme.

I'm not the most agile or well balanced of people but even I manage to sometimes get the 5+ on a D6 when I fall.

Also, instinctively the first comment is "I planned to do it!"
