Skylake time! (?)

    Not sure if that will work honestly, it may, but a minimum you would have to re-activate Windows (and your current cd key won't work) and at worst it just won't work with a new set up.

    When i upgraded mine, I wiped the drivers first for the mobo and CPU. I then swapped the parts, the computer and windows booted but said windows wasn't activated. I started up the built in Windows chat help, they basically gave me a new CD key when I explained I had to swap out parts.

    Hrm... I might have to use a program of some sort to parse my CD key. It's technically a bootlegged copy of Win 7, just with a legit key.

    Yea those are easy to find, but I do highly recommend getting the key off your installation before doing anything. If you have a legit key it'll make dealing with Microsoft (if needed) much easier.
