CALL TO ARMS! Looking forward to another round of this after I finish finals. I plan to play this to completion (same as the last one). If you've been itching for MP Stellaris, but are tired of restarting, now is your chance! Some rules apply: Map will be TINY or SMALL (depending on number of players). All game times will be posted as early in advance as possible. Game start will begin promptly. Play session ends when online player count drops below threshold (currently 3). No reloads (unless savefile gets corrupted). Game pausing only for bio/food breaks (duration must be specified). You may not declare war on offline player empires unless it is to reclaim captured populations from your empire. You may vassalize, but you cannot eliminate another player's empire. Don't be a dick. NOTE: If you want to include your custom empire in the campaign, it is REQUIRED that you post your faction at the link provided: Click here to post you faction stats! MOD REQUIREMENTS: Subject to debate, but I always lean towards "quality of life" improvements that stay in balance with vanilla gameplay. 6 PM EST is hard for me to make, a lot of nights. 7 or 8 would be easier/better. Anyway, the only day I can't do this is on Thursdays, otherwise I'm free.
What about wednesday (tomorrow) at 7pm EST? We don't have to play long, just need everyone to load in their empire at the start.
Interested, but 8 is the earliest I can reliably be online. If the start day is the most important, it might be better to do it on a weekend.
I'd like to play, 6-8 pm est weekdays is best for me, I have a hard time making it on weekends due to small kids.
guys... this isn't hard. you just need to be around long enough at the start to get your empire loaded into the game: Log in for 10 minutes and go if you have to.
The reason for the earlier start was because I was hoping to catch everyone on at the same time so we could get everyone's faction loaded in. But then I remembered that the game allows you to force-spawn in player made factions. After thinking about it some more, I came up with an elegant solution. Everyone should post their faction here: http://www.theskjaldborg.com/index.php?threads/official-player-faction-list-for-stellaris.11667/ Then whenever we pick a time to start, we can load everyone's faction in at once regardless of if they are there at the start or not. Players can then come and go at their leisure.
Wednesday was fine for me, but weekend is another. Like... Saturday after Arma? Sunday even. Either way, I'll have my empire posted so meh
Sunday is the only day I could possibly play, but I'm not expecting to because I'd regularly have to wait until very late anyway
Okay... so unless someone objects, we will attempt to start tonight @ 8pm. You have until then to submit your faction if you want it added to the campaign. Next time will be announced, but at the very least we will also do Sunday.
Forgot about Star Wars tonight. Will postpone until tomorrow (Thursday) @ 8pm EST unless people want to wait for the weekend (sorry Trev, I tried). Any custom factions must be submitted before the campaign starts. Keep in mind, we will probably only play until midnight so anyone who misses a session, your factions will be handled well enough by AI.
