Not gonna lie, I had a shitload more fun with the bit of this I played than the bit of Deathwing that I played. Ended up canceling my preorder and picking this up instead
Well, I've been playing for a while so I can give you guys the quick Titan lowdown. For pilots, there just so much variety in gear and most of its good, but phase shift (later unlock), grapple, and the motion detector are probably the top 3 skills, boosts vary in power so play around with them, but the beginning assault rifle is super solid so you won't be at a disadvantage. Some other rifles are better at distance but its a good jack of all trades. Anyway, titans: Ion: Laser titan. Everything lasers. Solid jack of all trades, not the best, not the worst. Its core skill is a giant ass laser that destroys everything, but is very easy to hide from. Decent defensive skills. Core skill: Supervillain chest laser. 5/5. Such fun, such wow. Rating vs Titans : 3/5 Rating vs Pilots : 3/5 Scorch: Area denial titan. Burn the ground and everything on it. It basically has a giant gas canister and a napalm shot, which can light large areas on fire. No direct fire weapons except its core, which destroys lots of titans in one shot. Good in small areas, horrible in open areas. Core skill: Flamestrike. 4/5. Quick and scorchy. Rating vs Titans: 3/5 Rating vs Pilots: 4/5 Ronin: The get in his face and fuck him up Titan. Sword and shotgun on a big robot, fun. He has to be up close to be effective, but also doesn't have a huge health bar so its tricky to play. His sword melee and shotgun do a lot of damge, and his phase shift is fun. Core skill is mad sword rampage which is also super fun. By far the funnest Titan to play, but easiest to constantly die with and be totally ineffective. Core skill: Sword Madness. 3/5. If you're close, you're god. If you're not, you're dead. Genji, but Godzilla size. Rating vs Titans: 5/5 for fun and if you're really good. Normally like a 3/5. Rating vs Pilots : 5/5 (shotguns and good melee) Northstar: Sniper Titan. One of my favorites. If you hold zoom on the gun it builds up charge for a hit that'll take about a third of a titans health in one shot. It has a cluster missile for dealing with pilots inside buildings, a trip wire thats fairly useless unless you have a Ronin in your face, and some hover skills. Its core skill is pretty useless to be honest, it floats you slowly above everything and shoots rockets down ala Pharah from overwatch, but like Pharah, it leaves you totally open for attacks and your rockets honestly aren't that effective if the other guy has any cover at all. Core skill: Pharah rocket style barrage. 1/5. You usually die more than the other guy. Rating vs Titans: 4/5, great for maps with long open lanes, bad for short distance as he has very low health and no defensive positions. Glass cannon. Rating vs Pilots: 3/5. You have to be a good shot to hit a pilot with your main sniper rifle. Cluster missiles can be effective but also easily avoided. Tone: Very effective mech. Exploding semi-auto cannon shots, hit a target 3 times and your mech auto locks on for your missile swaarm attack that HURTS. Effective shield skill to hide behind and the core is a giant missile cluster which also destroys everything. Probably the most seen Titan on the battlefield. Core skill: Missile swarm. 3/5. Rating vs titans: 5/5 Rating vs Pilots: 3/5. Only your main gun can really hurt them, but it has some splash. Legion: The tank titan. Chaingun, weapon shield, and some other goodies like swappin between a short and long range set of skills. Most health, slowest titan, lot of damage output. Think Atlas in terms of knowing how to position yourself. I recommend getting the extra dash when you run him, that way you have some mobility. Core Skill: Auto-targeting. 3/5. Not bad since now you can't miss with your chaingun. Rating vs Titans: 4/5 Rating vs Pilots: 4/5. Chainguns kill all.

AHEM Don't need to wait on Origin people. I blow at this game. I can't get pilot kills to virtually (see what I did there) save my life, but I'm having fun.
