Turkey or morels, what to hunt today?

Ah the great choice ahead of me, today is first day of turkey season, but it is also a good day for morels.

I have lots of turkeys on my land, but can really only take one(so says the state), morels are not on my land yet,(been trying to spore them for several years) and I have to compete for them on public lands....I can gather as many as I can find...they sell for 35USD a pound btw, but who wants to really sell them when they can devour them instead.

Or I could play on the computer, yeah right lol. can do that at night heh.

Oh woe is me, I can not do both today, or could I? nope only have till 1pm. wild turkey with morel stuffing, ok the turkey can wait.

I could quit my day job for those kind of prices (not really, but extra income). We can get maybe 2€ per kilo(=1.3$ per pound) here. Maybe up to 5€ on a good day. So those are left in the woods mostly. Season is still few months away as there is still snow on the lands here.

I upgraded our storage capability with another 200 litre freezer for all the berries and stuff for next fall. So as soon as the global warming starts kicking in and the winter doesn't last until the freeking may, it's time to go foraging.

If I was still Up in Minnesota I would be saying the same thing, but I am way to the south in Indiana right now. Morel mushrooms are only $1.30 a pound?!?

Ever thought of going into the export business? I will import them at that rate heh
