So as I know you guys are big mecha fans I mentioned you guys to a game dev I have been talking to who is the coder for the game. I will attach a link to the games trailers and steam page. War fighter, primarily, but I also just don't like war tech, or tech fighter, or all sorts of other ways you can hash that acronym to mean something beyond just a silly acronym made up just to be that specific acronym. I think it's an inane marketing gimmick, right up there with the morons who decided to change the sci-fi channel to syfy. I can also think of at least a dozen ways that acronym could be put to better use, particularly in the psychological horror/thriller genre, and if they were clever you wouldn't immediately realize the acronym. Hell, they'd probably get less flack if they'd just called the game Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. But that's just my opinion anyway.

well never really said it was an issue either, just a irksome point, really, I haven't looked at the game enough to have an issue with it one way or another, hell it's even possible they might have a decent explanation as to the use of WTF that I simply haven't thought of. May as well just say 'as a wise idiom once said' because odds are the actual originator of the quote is lost to history, and possibly just a repackaging of a preexisting quote... don't judge a scroll by it's roller, don't judge a tablet by it's stone, don't judge a cave painting by it's inks XD

if they weren't going for the acronym then there's only two explanations I have for the name, bad English, because bad name is just bad, but it wouldn't be the first time a game was named in English by people that didn't quite grasp the syntax. There's a vast slew of games from various countries that were simply translated directly, some of which with far more terrible names than this one, I suppose. Alternatively it could be something made up by a kid and for reasons they just ran with it. It's not -that- bad, just redundant and being redundant, it mildly annoys me.
I'll accept that, I'm sure it sounds better in Italian, if only because just about everything does XD
