so, it's a thing, I need some help, I've come up with a few ideas but I'm having a hard time deciding which to move forward with, here's some of my favorites, I'll put up descriptions for each in spoilers so as not to confuse everyone. Spoiler: 1 faction: Tenno Stance: polearm Twin Crescent, not a lot of description on this one, it's a weapon design based on the warfork from D&D 3.0, I really liked that design, I think it's one of the sexiest here Spoiler: 2 Faction: Sentient Stance: Glaive The Lodestone an artifact from the forgotten wars with the sentients recently recovered, this seemingly electromagnetic sphere can be controlled with simple hand movements from the gauntlet, allowing the simple weapon to be used to devestating effect on the battlefield (I like the idea of this one, because it opens up the potential of more sentient weapons, we haven't seen any to date though, so that might disqualify it outright) Spoiler: 3 Faction: Corpus Stance: Claws The Data Spike these claws were designed for use against other corpus factions, allowing the attacker to take control over corpus walkers and other machines with a precise strike, the spike sends a series of overwrite commands that will reprogram the target for a short period before burning out it's core circuits. Spoiler: 4 Faction: Infested (as if that wasn't obvious) Stance: Gunblade Axon this mace combines the brutal efficiency of a blunt weapon with the utility of a high power arc flash, creating a powerful shock of electrical energy that arcs through targets up to a certain distance, it also does some incidental electrical damage when striking. (I think the 'tendrils' should actually wrap around and dig into the tenno's wrist when wielded) Spoiler: 5 Faction: Infested Stance: Whip/swords Brachya This 'claw' can be used to smash assailants, and also possesses a bizarre 'tongue' that can lash out and drag targets towards you (same on the tendrils for this as #4) Spoiler: 6 Faction: Tenno Stance: Heavy Blade Nikana Dachi this great sword sized Nikana is meant to dominate the battlefield Spoiler: 7 Faction: Tenno Stance: Whip Meteor Hammer designed after the ancient monk weapon, this tenno version features retractable cable and energy conduits to turn this whirling bludgeon into a world of hurt even in the far future. Spoiler: 8 Faction: Grineer Stance: Gunblade Jat Mottag this smaller sibling to the Jat Kittag features instead of rocket power, a rocket launching system through the body of the mace, original test versions of this weapon were dubiously successful until the installation of a safety sensor to determine when the weapon was level for firing before allowing the trigger to fire. Spoiler: 9 Faction: Tenno Stance: Sword and shield (with one of the two single weapons beside) Name TBD (based on melee weapon really) I think the tenno could use a sword and shield weapon, either of the one handed melee weapons could work with this, I think the shield should be energy instead of physical etc... Spoiler: 10 Faction: Tenno Stance: machete, or dual swords, or sword and shield name TBD a nice tenno axe, I haven't really developed more than this on it Spoiler: 11 Faction: Tenno Stance: single sword, dual sword, rapier or sword and shield Zukwa designed on the zulu iklwa, this tenno short spear is a deadly both slashing and thrusting, perfect when paired with a shield
I really like number 2, but besides the sentient issue, I'm not sure it will sell on account of it using a non-standard glaive mounting to the warframe. Perhaps it would only be "deployed" to the palm of the hand when you are in active melee mode?
oh yeah, I didn't draw it but there'd be a hip snug for it to rest in when you're not using it edit: also I forgot to mention this bit, but the purpose of this is to decide which I want to put forward the effort to craft a 3d model, I can sketch shit for days, but once I start making it in 3d it takes far more time, and I only have until the 30th
apparently someone has already suggested a sentient faction weapon XD and apparently there's a couple quite similar to my idea
What's better than two Grakata... THREE Grakata! Bwhahahaha! (Also, thinking 8BT instead of "swordchucks" "Grakatachucks".. mwhahahaa.)
after several hours of toil, the twin crescents (yes there's 3 blades) it's not exactly perfect, but neither am I a 3d animator ^.^
