The days when rollers moved faster, spawned more and could stunlock you indefinitely. Even through Rhinos iron skin. It was during closed beta some one and half year ago. We also had fun stuff like Nervos back then.
Laucivol remembers... A bit after closed beta, too. Caught the tail end of nervos and murderous rollers still patrolled the 3 or 4 tilesets we had. I remember getting hit by a nervos and going 'the feth was that!?' looking it up on the wiki and cursing under my breath. Then, some time later, wondering where they went. I ... miss the nervos, and the killer rollers. Y'know, where you had to have a plan to deal with them (a damned good reason to upgrade your sentinel's weapon). The more recent ones saddened me, my response was akin to 'Yes! They're back! I'm ready for you this time!' They were slightly more irritating than the rollers of this modern day, but not a force to be reckoned with as they were back in the day. I'll say it this way: when I can hold a mobile defense point while my team wanders to and fro as my Ash.. well, bad pugs, and not-so-fearsome roller-redux. Part of me misses the 'Oh shit!' moments that they'd cause.
oh you know they'll do something, they'll create a 'king roller' a boss roller that is fast as the old ones drops seeker grenades and spawns additional rollers periodically, just to make people tear their hair out for a while.
I never was very clear on what that sound was when people are tearing their hair out, I suppose it could be nostalgic joy.
Ok, tried to play today, has there been a wipe or something as my friends list was empty and i had to start from the beginning. Or did i just miss something!?
There has been no wipes ever in WF. By starting from beginning, do you mean you have to do tutorial? They added tutorial you have to do as new player, and can opt to do as veteran too a while ago.
