Big bada-boom... the heavy hitters: Penta vs Ogris

    My Penta build:
    http://warframe-builder.com/Primary...137-7-162-7-133-6-128-7-141-6-265-7/en/2-0-38

    My Ogris build:
    http://warframe-builder.com/Primary...137-7-162-7-133-6-128-7-141-6-265-7/en/2-0-37

The Ogris comes out with a HUGE lead on overall damage output (more so than I realized). The Penta has some really nice utility thanks to its manually triggered grenades (ex. doing airburst techniques can get you more headshots). The Ogris seems like maybe it could be harder to hit your target, but maybe the damage output would make up for it?

EDIT: Apparently I had confused the Ogris for having overall higher damage output... that does not seem to be the case. It seems in most circumstances, the Penta is the clear winner in this comparison. Swapping Ammo Drum for Speed Trigger (fire rate buff) would probably help the Ogris get more damage ouput, but the same could be said about the Penta (although the Penta cannot have more than 6 grenades out at one time I think).

    What do you think?

NOTE: I went with Ammo Drum instead of Rifle Mutation because I usually use an ammo hungry secondary and Ammo Drum is usually sufficient. Feel free to swap them if you prefer. Thanks to Hunter for pointing out that Rifle Mutation does not work with these weapons.

Rifle Ammo Mutation can't be used on Penta 'cause it uses sniper ammo now, remember?
Yep, the Ammo Mutation is bugged for several AoE weapons at the moment.

I personally prefer Penta for the aforementioned utility and control. And I like the design too.
Also, Ogris looks like some plastic juice container to me.

The build above is for dealing with infested, but could be easily modified depending on your target. As with the regular Penta before it, I use this primarily for Defensive missions where you can stand at an elevated and (very) safe distance while lobbing shots into rushing crowds.

The Ogris is officially out of a job.
