    Banners still high? Reactors stable?

Just driving really, really slow past your house every day and decided to stop by this time.

I'm OK by the by. Picked up kendo and still being in a legal gridlock with current employer over not getting what was promised but continuing along quasi-normal "business as usual"-ishy thing of going through the daily motions like robots.

I also felt like I left like a douche would have left.

In retrospect - I wasn't having much time to play but I wanted to play with ya'll. Had a ton of fun the few times I managed to play and even attend Shieldwall Day.
But my life's (just like everyone else's) was quite uncertain and difficult and I was really, really looking for that connection you have with people when you play together. Not when you surf some forum so much that you end up missing work because of it.

And that was really, really frustrating. But I liked and do like 'Borg so much that it took me a year of standing at the door just to exit it.

Even when it was mostly just that incredibly limited forum browsing and none of fun and games and fun hats. Even then.

So, after brewing over it for a long time while struggling with legal issues and being incredibly cash strapped and realizing I'll be unable to get into SC etc. I had a bit of fun - I really, really loved the new Star Wars.
Then there was this thread where people were putting it down and then I simply decided to make my exit there and then and be over with it and as such I probably didn't score any style points. It was too hard to reach for class act.

I didn't want to do it but I felt I had to. Maybe one day when I'll have time to play I'll join some group that plays during same hours as I. Who knows. It's been couple of months now and I haven't actually played any multiplayer games the entire time.

    Thank you for reading this.

I really do wish you all the best! I hope you guys make a killing in SC.

    PS.
It's asking a lot but when (even if immediately) this thread goes without any answers for a bit I'd really appreciate it moved to members section so it won't stay here in the open.

    PPS
If no one has anything against it I'll be checking in on the forums once in a while too.

I feel like I need to apologize, because I hadn't even realized you left....

I mostly just lurk the forums now as well, but that's more due to my military obligations and the shitty internet the Marine Corps makes available to us.

Why do you want it moved to members? You'll not be able to see any responses.

thanks for checking in Sheep. I think quite a few of us have been swallowed up by XCOM2. The rest are either still poking around in MWO, SWOR, or ARMA. Also, Warframe traffic has picked up a bit.

I think most of the community organizers have been busy with RL stuff. I'm still staying busy with the Megamek campaign (with distractions from XCOM + Warframe + RL stuff as well). I think there was some talk about doing something with the new WH40K games that are coming out soon (Battlefleet Gothic and that 3rd person shooter one). Some people have also teased a little WarThunder and Armored Warfare in there

Generally speaking, I would consider the activity "pot of soup" is not at a boil, but certainly a comfortable simmer. If any of the above suits you, there is something to do certainly.

To my knowledge there has been only positive news to hear about MWO and Star Citizen so I can only assert that I believe things will definitely pick up again in the future.

Personally, the next big thing I'm excited for is No Man's Sky (and games like it) on the PC. Would really like to organize something there with you guys. I already made ventures into those waters with a private Space Engineers server, but I found that game is (unfortunately) still a bit too unstable for online multiplayer.

PS - Sorry if the SW conversation frustrated you. I was one of those people that wasn't really a fan of the new movie. I still enjoyed it on a superficial basis and I don't knock anyone for liking it... it just wasn't really for me I think. The intent was never to shame anyone for liking it, though.

I think Marine Corps first priority should be to provide decent computers and fast connections to Marines so they can simulate future engagements in ARMA.

    That's a good idea!

I meant like, when we're done and so. Because Skynet will see this thread and arrive at a conclusion that human race is pathetic and needs to be exterminated.

My current plan is that SC will hit 1.0 around same time as I retire so I'll have all the time to play it with future's Matrix like rig.

Pretty much, I also often get to me myself because of my paranoia and issues. Though my paranoia is not my real problem, my real problem is that everyone I know is secretly plotting together against me.

Don't worry about the SW thing. I usually don't personally mind criticism and will just argue back till end of time but I've been really, really tired as of late in general. Doesn't even help that I'm currently reliant on a bunch of lawyer-salesman hybrids for my income who are constantly trying to squeeze more out of me and trick me into weird contracts while pretending to me on the same side. But at least I get to finally do what I like to do. I'd just like to make through a month sometime in my life without running out of money just trying to buy groceries. That stuff and being on edge due to these lawyer types is really eating me away and I can't wait for the next opportunity to break free.

I've noticed that I'm really angry with them and sometimes I end up taking it out on other people because frankly they pay my salary and if they fire me I will not even get unemployment benefits for several months thanks to the new laws so they can pretty much fuck around with me and I have to keep saying "yes sir good sir have a nice day sir".

That's part of why I don't play much at all. Trying to work hard after work so I can build up a portfolio that might allow me to exit this vicious cycle.

But yea, totally overreacted to the SW thing, it had nothing to do with that and everything to do with everything else.

No prob man. And as much as we sometimes don't want it to, RL comes first.

Yeah I may have gone a bit to far with knocking the new SW movie. Sorry about that. Pretty sure I wasn't attacking anyone personally for liking it and I did enjoy it. It just wasn't as good as I personally wanted it to be. I didn't mean for my words to sound so negative if they did.

    Busy little shit.

Got two fully funded games ordered from me personally (getting all credit since working alone).

Got two more optional fully funded games if I can deliver convincing proof of concept on them.

Sheepy productions has some quirks too...

Version control: "I know what I'm doing, some of the time"
QA: "When I'm finished with it it's finished"
Technical specifications: "I have it all in my head"
Flow charts: "I'll get back to those ..later..."
    Github: "whatnowhub?"

And that's a lot harder than just programming, imho.
Few things are as uncomplicated as solo programming. The computer does exactly what it's instructed and the only bugs are the ones you write yourself.

As soon as it's a team everything is far more complicated and someone is going to be spending a lot of time keeping the circus from imploding.

Now, does anyone know where one can buy more hours from?

I'm considering doing drugs so I can sleep less. (not really but tempted)
