Windows 10

i've been using 10 since october/november and haven't really had any issues at all. i know some people have but then they have issues with everything on a computer so.

 

I had to get a larger SSD anyway, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I still have my latest Win7 backup if it all goes South.

 

I've been Win 10ing on my games machine for a few months and, like fet, have not really had any problems at all with using it. As long as you accept all the bullshit that goes with using anything in the modern world (in regards to privacy, etc).

I would even describe the actual user experience as 'good'.

 

so youtube has stopped supporting Internet explorer for windows 7.

 

Well, shit, I bet that's just going to kill that enormously loyal user base of geriatrics they have to their name.

Bet they won't even notice so long as online bingo halls support 7, but I hear they still support back to Windows 98, so I'm not concerned.

 

Piece of shit tile menus are a nonstarter for me. Not only do they look like childish shit, I don't need my desktop buried under banner-ad click-bait spam every time I try to get to my menu tree.

 

Firefox for me about 90% of the time the other time its chrome. I just thought it was funny. maybe google is trying to force/coerce users over to chrome since its still supported by them.

why would they stop explorer on 7? tons of people still use 7. also every time i tried chrome i absolutely hated it.

 

Finding stuff like the settings is a pain (because for some unknown reason my browsers revert to manually getting an IP address instead of the auto setting). Its pretty much all that stuff that annoys me.

 

Windows 10: Pros - runs faster, boots faster, I loved the menu once I got to it, games loaded in faster. Cons - games after a while shuts down the pc, at certain processor or graphics usage the pc shuts down again, some games that worked stopped when 10 was installed, and the highlight; still couldn't play fallout 4. Overall I liked it but it's not for my gaming laptop, something about the two hates each other.
