Have my Barb at 60, and a Wizard. My Monk and DH are coming along nicely though. Also, it let me send out friend invites to you.
With the community exp boost I took my wizard from 13 to 35 in about an hour and a half. I think I'll have my wizard maxed out by the end of the night tonight.
The Crusader does seem interesting - from reading up a bit, the Crusader does not, in fact, get the innate 30% physical damage reduction that the Monk and Barbarian get off the bat - and yet, it's primary stat is strength and it's designed for melee - so I can only wonder as to how it's counter-balanced.
As it stands, the classes that are intended to take a hit rather than mitigate it are monks and barbarians. The extra 30% damage bonus is a part of that, yes, but it isn't the only factor. If we look at their skills, monks have limited aoe with things like seven sided strike, and even exploding palm, but, in general, the effective radius is quite small. Likewise, barbarian can also use high damage aoe to great effect, but most of that aoe is intended for foes directly adjacent (or within a few yards) like we see with earthquake, whirlwind, and overpower. Their skillsets, along with the toughness bonus, define their place on the battlefield. While strength is the Crusader's primary attribute, its skills are actually designed to lend it to a mid-range caster with a significant focus on aoe striking power. From the gameplay that I've seen, I believe that's the niche it's designed to fill: mid range bruiser who can work their wrath from the thick of things.
Yea there'll be a shit load of crusaders for a few weeks. But the skills do look pretty sweet, bunch of pillar of light/lightning/fury of gods type AoE stuff. Was messing around at the skills earlier, if anyone wants to check them out they're here
You bastards made me pre-purchase Reaper of Souls... by 'made me' I of course mean I wouldn't be able to fucking sit in teamspeak listening you go on about it being the only thing you play for the next week, until I finally cave and buy the game about the time you stop playing. So y'know, thanks I guess.
It is kind if boring when you think about it. Just left mouse clicking over and over. Push a number every once in a while. Think maybe I'll play something else for a while.
NOW YOU HOLD ON ONE GOD DAMN MINUTE! THAT'S NOT SARDONIC; I AM SARDONIC! YOU CAN'T QUIT PLAYING BECAUSE HE CAME ALONG! THAT IS MY FUCKING SCHTICK! I AM THE DANGER! I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS!
If Don had been on TS more when he was playing D3, he might have been the one to ruin it. You're right Sheo, I think we should go back to WarThunder
FYI, if you select Asia right now, you can play the expansion early. Only issue is that all your characters don't transfer so you can only start a lvl 1 crusader if oyu want to mess around with it for a bit. I just played to level 4. From limited gameplay seemed fun, shield bash just dashes to a target and basically one hits anything at that low level. I took out the first boss (the wretched mother boss) in 1.5 hits, very efficient. From the looks of it I'm going to really like the crusader.
The only reason I haven't been pushing hard to get my Wiz or Voodoo up to 60 is because I'm just going to start over with a Crusader when I can. Time for an all crusader run.
