Been doing some reading, and I can't find anything that leads me to believe that planet to space transitions are supported on one map. I think what you have are space maps and planetside maps. It may be added in later, but it doesn't look like it's a current feature, and it is not listed as one their planned features. I'm still getting this, but it's something to be aware of. Aircraft combat is supported in planet maps though, and you can take direct control of cap ships with multiple crew positions in space maps.
It isn't a single world map like planetside. It is more like selecting an ARMA server based on current map being played. This game is more Battlefront then Planetside. As for transitions I managed to find the hanger bay on one of my bigger ships on a map and got warped into a battle. Good time...i think lol. Need more people.
Anybody know how to get past the vehicle tutorial? I keep getting stuck there and it won't progress even after I've completed objectives.
I will buy in as well... just hope you guys still want to play this two months from now when I have time.
You might want to hold off a bit. The general feeling so far is that it's very fun and has a lot of potential, it still has a bit of work to go before it's really stable for online play. Unless you really want the sale, I would wait a month or so and see if they can improve their networking system first.

I grabbed it. Looked neat. Played a few rounds. The UI thing is a big issue. But if we had a group going should be fun.
It was fun yesterday with just two or three of us screwing around. I can't imagine how crazy it would be with ten or twenty of us running around. If this was FTP, it would be perfect for shieldwall day.
