apparently it has been staying below the radar, but is going well. the recent videos look amazing and seem to have everything the original had + more. question i have... is coop possible for battles? not a deal breaker, but i'm curious since it can be done with warband.
Yeah watched the thing live on E3 and damn it looked impressive, though we really have only gotten a glimpse at the gameplay it seems to be pretty solid. Combat system is vastly improved over the previous games, but with enough of Warband to not make it daunting come into, whilst the sieges/battle mechanics are sounding awesome (the ability to form Battalions is something I really hope is done outside of battle as it will make troop management of 600+ man armies much easier). On top of all of that someone pointed out that there were no actual castle's on the campaign map during that presentation, but that later in the video we saw a Keep attached to the village sprite. So likely you build "Keeps" in towns and expand upon them in your own local fiefdom which should help mitigate those marauding 40 man bands on raiders who auto loot your village without any recourse for you to stop them.
They are pushing the game release back to next year, but there is talk about having a Multiplayer functional game out before the end of the year with a full sized Single-player element completed sometime early-middle of next year.
