Something I forgot to add, I don't want my people who are new to this to get frustrated and NOT play again in the future, that's really the basis of my protection of them in an "outside the game" context.
Dihm's defense of his defense makes sense to me. Even though we'd like to be one giant suspicious family of mafia-playing-folk, there remains the fact that the Ponies are substantially more experienced, on average, than us Vikings. Therefore, even though you, Hylius, aren't trying to treat Ponies or Vikings any differently, and I feel that the other Ponies are doing the same, your familiarity with each other and the game is going to trigger an "us vs them" response, and the Pony/Viking line is the easiest to draw. However I, for one, am most trusting of Spork and Hylius right now. I actually read through the instructional flash thing that was linked to (which does mention a gun-wielding mafia fellow, I had no idea how common this role was), but Spork having role-claimed gunsmith does make him not-scum. Unless he is lying and Hylius is actually a vigilante, and Spork is trying being opportunistic. However, seeing as Hylius has not said anything to counter Spork's roleclaim, I'm letting it stand in my head. Hylius's explanation of how he used it does seem to indicate not-scum. Therefore, I'm more or less going to follow their lead for now. However, the attack on Dihm seems mostly based on his defense of others, which, as previously stated, I can't really blame him for as one of the new-to-the-game Viking folk that he has a tendency to be defending. Unfortunately, I'm moving today. (well, not unfortunately, I want to move, but unfortunate for my ability to spend much time on this forum today). Hopefully I will be able to come back and make a more informed decision, but for now, I will ##vote Orcinus because I don't want to miss the voting, and Orc seemed to have the most suspicion on him of the people who aren't Dihm. If there is more reason than the quick-defense, or if it is more suspicious than I currently realize, I will hopefully have time to change before the cutoff. Spork and Hylius, particularly, please give thoughtful guidance.
Now, to address actual game stuff: Well, after going through the entire thread, it's more Tyzh and Spork that are on my ass, not you. That was an overreaction and not factual. It FELT like you were blaming me for Fet, because it was in part my initial pointing out of the great Ice Cream Connection that got Stynnes lynched and all of us focused on Fet in the first place. Everyone is very antagonistic in this game, filled with hatred and name-calling. It rubs off and produces the sort of post I made. Recently this whole "half-defenses" thing that you and Spork are harping on has come up. Speaking of which, your claim of me being "defensive of every person" is also not factual. In fact, I went back through and found every post I made that could be considered "defending", just for your viewing pleasure. So there you go, just trying to back my members who are new to the game or have "odd" hours compared to the heavy posters.
I'll admit Tyzh is making me slightly suspicious, he's acting funny. I'll accept your defense for now but I got an eye on you. ##unvote Dihm Protection's nonsense is wearing on me a bit (also we're running low on time here.) However, due to all the crazy crap that has happened today I think our best bet is to nab a lurker. Cases and people are disoriented right now, and it's possible a few don't know the game's resumed. Bloody heck we only have 3 hours 30 minutes (Glaed declared 24 hour extension as of his post at 4PM EST) until hammer. We need to settle this. ##vote Orc for now.

I actually hadn't voted for Orc yet, but I didn't realize we were THAT short on time. I'm really undecided about voting for him. Tyzh and Protection are giving me all sorts of vibes after going back and reading through EVERYTHING too. So far, the only similar vote between our lynch of Stynnes and potentially Orc seems to be Conloach. I don't know if that means anything.

I don't think there is really any antagonistic dynamic between SoR and Ponys going on here. It's not that surprising they seem to have a lot higher survivability rate then the vikings here, afterall they are more experienced. Dihms reasoning seems very defensive, but considering the pressure he has been put under by Hylius and Tyzh not necessarily scummy. Honestly the bromance between Hylius and Spork makes me alot more twitchy. Altough that gun must have come from somewhere, the general willingness to clear them as town and follow their lead just seems a bit premature on day 2.
As I said in my own post, while I feel I am town and my actions have cleared me as such, nothing I've done is above suspicion. I am nowhere near confirmed town. Spork is.

Spork is town. I don't see any other way it can be. Only other alternatives are: Spork and Hylius are BOTH scum, and Hylius is the assassin, or whatever. SUPER risky, and they gamble on their not being an actual gunsmith. Not sane. Someone else gave Hylius the gun, and our real gunsmith is ABSOLUTELY RETARDED.
THey are pretty bad. Anyway, when you lynch me and find out that I'm town, my principle suspect is Tyzh, not even joking or doing it out of spite. A little out of spite. But I have good reason too.
