Neat. Hopefully its more than just arena deathmatch.

 

This looks fun. need to keep an eye on this.

 

I posted this a while back in the E3 2014 thread, it fell off my radar with Finals in progress. Nice to see some space combat, and they slowed down the ships a good bit it seems.

 

will have to keep an eye out for this.

 

Is this on Steam or just on their site for now?

 

saw this 3-4 months ago..its an open lane MOBA..... and while it looks good.. i'll be reserving
my judgment on a buy/no buy

wikipedia has it in the combat flight simulator genre.

 

Did you guys look at the gameplay vid above? Where in any of that is this remotely a MOBA?

 

it's starship naval combat, there's nothing MOBA about it

 

MOBA just means Multi-player online battle arena. and as such this does meet that definition.. its not LoL or DOTA for sure... but it is a 5 on 5 battle arena with respawns and timer limited special abilities.

does it look interesting?... yeah to a point. if its FTP then i can see me spending some occasional time in it.

 

The pure semantic definition of MOBA, yes, but not the standard in use definition of what MOBA is. By that definition almost every FPS is a MOBA.

If its free to play. Sure.

 

by that definition almost every PvP game ever made is a MOBA

 

Oh please, no. Free to play games always cost several times as much.
