What i would really like to see is time when Rome was collapsing under the pressure of various tribes, that would be interesting extremely hard to pull off but interesting. or spread of christianity but from a viewpoint of non-chrisitan, possibilities here are amazing especially since there were quite a few cults that could take place as dominant religion instead of christianity.
There was a movie that somewhat did that, but it was pretty fucking shitty. The movie was The Last Legion with Ben Kingsley.
