Heads up for the game tonight...

Caesar is working hard to create a Terran Hegemony character.

Alexia expressed interest in a Kerensky Reinforcement sent to help out our group on Terra.

I have some RL issues I need to deal with, but I should be there tonight (unless dinner takes 3 hours).

Moon, can you help these guys work out their respective characters? Because working out each other's instead would be weird.

One other thing tied to this, I don't know if we will actually be "playing" as much as getting these characters in place.

 

Looking forward to a little chaos tonight, in about 11 hours.

Stefan Amaris has been tried and found guilty of treason. He has been executed for his crimes against humanity.

The greatest massacre of human history has been avoided... or has it?

Richard Cameron was found dead at the hands of Amaris. One of his distant cousins survived the purge and has been put on the throne, but will Jillian Cameron have the support of the Great Houses or will the problems only grow worse now? What about Kerensky? Has history truly been averted?

 

Unfortunately, history cannot be truly changed. If you were to cause any change that would jeopardize the series of events that brought you into the past in the first place, the conditions where you could have gone into the past to cause those changes will no longer exist in the future, and you could not have gone into the past to cause those changes.

That, ladies and gentleman, is the time travel paradox. You are doomed to fail.

On the plus side, following the many worlds theory, you might create an alternate universe in which those events never happen, but if you were to return to your home timeline, nothing would have changed.

 

I am thinking tonight might be a little on the light side. There will be a bad guy, at some point 8) And we need to set a course of action based on events.

Jillian is a fair ruler, but, alas, it won't take long for the schemers to scheme schemes.

Greetings Sir,
I have been directed to keep you informed, in detail, of the results of our investigation. It is imperative that you understand that this investigation is ongoing, but the information I have included below is as detailed and accurate as possible at this point in time. Please, use appropriate discretion on disseminating this information.

Our records show that on the afternoon of the attempt on First Lord Cameron, the events transpired as follows:
14:37 - Shots fired near the First Lord's position. Car # 4 begins driving erratically (based on further investigation it is due to remote control operator going down, referred to as Sniper 1). Sniper 2 flees position and is met and gunned down by "Chisu Hung".

14:40 - Emergency call is sent for air support for the First Lord's situation. Calls include Captain Randall Sernsen and Lieutenant Jenny Franks.

14:45 - Records state that Captain Randall Sernsen arrives on base, in complete flight gear including neurohelmet. He is sent immediately to his plane. It is now believed that Chisu Hung replaced Captain Sernsen, including fully modified clearance, ID, biometrics, etc. in the computer system. Specialist Jim Lebeau later tracked to the security breach.

14:48 - Captain Randall Sernsen is given authorization to take off without Lieutenant Franks due to emergency situation. Sernsen requests that Franks joins him as quickly as possible. Upon takeoff, Sernsen ascends rapidly but instead of heading to emergency coordinates he proceeds to orbit and is lost in space traffic. Sernsen no longer answers tower or other command communications.

14:57 - Pirate jump detected leaving lunar orbit.

18:37 - Specialist Lebeau found hung behind barracks. Believed to be suicide, but homicide is possible.

23:57 - Captain Sernsen and Lieutenant Franks found dead at their respective apartments. Cause of death determined to be severe laceration to the throat. Both are missing flight gear. Computer profile does not match either pilot, but they were apparently chosen as targets due to similar looks and body structure to replacements.

No additional information has come forward in regards to events at the base.

In regards to snipers:
Sniper One - Was working at the palace as a guard. Investigation shows severe gambling debt and abnormal deposits in last 2 months. Deposits cash Star League bills. Guard stationed at post was incapacitated.

Sniper Two - Did not survive encounter. Judging from angle, was solely focused on covering then eliminating sniper 1. No identity found.

 

so sniper one (aka sweaty palms), while probably the lowest chain the totem pole, has now become the most valuable resource remaining, we should track the money trail and see what he knows.

I hate to do this, especially sorta last minute, but I am gonna cancel tonight. I haven't felt well all day and it is really starting to pummel me down.

I do realize I didn't answer all the questions you had, but I got the info that Colonel Marsden would have at this point.
