Last Week, in MechWarrior...

The party has interrogated the only remaining survivor of the attack on Jillian Cameron. He was a palace guard with crippling gambling debts, to the Triad.

After talking with the other organized crime syndicates, the party realizes the Triad is one of only a few that have strong militant views against Jillian and her promises to being a reduction in organized crime. The party considered the possibility that her cousin, Luceria Cameron may have been involved in the assassination attempt, but eventually discarded it for several reasons.

The Mafia finally came through with a tip. The pirate jump was headed to Aldebaran, in the Capellan Confederation. Does House Liao support this assassination attempt? Were they directly involved? How high up the aristocracy does this plot start?

Last week, on MechWarrior...

Evidence led the party to Aldebaran, a planet held by the Capellan Confederation. Our information pointed to a strong Triad presence, and we suspect involvement by the local government. After finding a reporter willing to discuss the situation, the party set a meeting for later in the week. Unfortunately, the reporter was involved in an "accident", leaving her husband and 4 year old son alone and scared.

The party eliminated a pair of agents trailing the husband, and planted a microphone on the survivor. Unfortunately, it was detected and the agent was eliminated before gaining any information. However, the party did tip their hand and the enemy is coming.

The Director of Information has found out about the involvement of the party. He has sent a cleaning team to remove the threat to his control of the planet. The party is in for a nasty fight! What will happen next?

Just to let everyone know ahead of time, I won't be able to be at this week's game either. The other person who works overnight has been in the hospital. She's back home now, but won't be back until Friday, so I've been scheduled to work almost every night last week and this week.

We have a new player joining us, but we can work with what we get. He should fill in the investigator field, which will help us a ton. Planning to play and get Wolf caught up in plot later. If everyone else can make it anyway. Any other cancels?
