I've just picked up Mirror's Edge, for 5 bucks. Waiting so I can re-purchase the Assassin's Creed Series on PC. Why? Because my Xbox won't last forever, but Steam is eternal...
Divinity Original Sin, which is coming out on the 30th, is on sale. From what I've played in Beta, it looks good.
It's MUCH, MUCH better in multiplayer. The game literaly has features built in to let two PCs argue with other. It's glorious.
Actually more like Neverwinter Nights. They also have the ability to build your own content. I see it as a spiritual successor to Neverwinter Nights. The Story is 2 player only, but the game can have up to 4 people for built content.
Its an isometric party RPG with decent environmental interactions. Combat is turn based, your usual magic/warrior/rogue skills present. You can play solo or coop. In solo you can make a party of 2 characters and picks starting stats, skills, and traits. There aren't strict classes, you can mix and match anything you want as you progress. You can more points to allocate at each level. You can add more NPC characters to your party but the two you start with are your mains. In coop you each control 1 of the main characters and both have a say in how to respond to each situation (in dialogue). In case of differing opinions, character personality traits can overcome ties, or, a game of rock paper scissors played in screen. You can also do some environmental stuff like shoot an oil barrel, then light it on fire. Or explode poisonous gas clouds, or put crates on top of electrified water to walk over it, etc.
Im actually looking forward to Divinity Original Sin. I may be getting it as soon as it releases or wait till its on sale (after release). The main problem is I would actually really love to play that game in coop with someone in similar timezones and possibly some patience. I dont have much experience with CRPGS or whatever the genre was again. Usually I dont really like them, but this game has gotten me really excited. And I dont know why, but I am. I think it was the using your environment as weapons part. When I saw how you could destroy a barrel and use electricity on it, freeze it and whatnot and all that had effects on the enemy, it clicked and i fell in love. So yeah if anyone is somewhere around gmt+1(2 summertime) Id love to play this game with you when it comes out. Otherwise the sales so far are pretty meh. Super MeatBoy looks nice but Ill wait in hope that one day it will come to GoG.
It's the most wonderful time of the year! We wish you a merry steam sale, we wish you a merry steam sale, we wish a merry steam sale. and an empty wallet =D
I am confused by your statement.... Has it sucked your money out of your wallet, or has it been bad? You really should be more clear.
