So if I get assassin's creed 4 after having just played through the first game, am I going to have a clue what's going on?
Sorta yes and sorta no. There's a lot of things in AC IV that you will not notice or get if you don't play 2 through Revelations in the very lest. There are some important things in 3 as well, but it's a game you can read the wiki for or rush through as you see fit. Plus I recommend at least 2 and brotherhood be played. I'm also debating if I should pick up IV, or wait for a bit...
Yep. And Brotherhood was Ezio in Rome, Revelations was Old badass Ezio in Ottoman Empire. Basically, that trilogy of the series follows Ezio from birth, to death. So yeah, I'd at least recommend picking those up, I mean they are only 5 bucks on Steam ATM. 3 was okay. Basically on par with Number 1, but better gameplay mechanics. Story was sorta meh. I actually haven't finished IV yet, and I might just replay the series and finish it then.
And I know own the entire series on Steam, including Liberation HD. Time to start from the beginning.. again. Actually looking forward to it
Well here's my list of purchases thus far: Broken Age Chivalry Final Fantasy VII & VIII Paper's Please Poker Night at the Inventory 1 & 2 realMyst: Masterpiece addition The Walking Dead Season 1 & 2
Tomb Raider Thief 1, 2 Baldur's Gate 2 EE Rocksmith 2014 (this ones gooood) If I didn't own Divinity Original Sin I would've bought it. BTW its on sale again today.
Managed to hold out until the last day, finally broke down and bought space engineers, portal 2, and kerbal space program. Tried to limit myself to games that I've been looking at for a long time and would be likely to play.
Guacamelee! Risk of Rain The Last Federation + Shovel Knight. Couldn't resist the 8-bit nostalgia. Not a long list but they were careful picks so I know I'll like 'em. Guacamelee! has been excellent so far.
So... end of sale report. I spent a bit more than I was expecting, but I don't think I'll be participating in the Holiday sales unless it's something really good for really cheap. Purchased: Mirror's Edge Assassin's Creed 1 Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Deluxe Assassin's Creed Revelations Gold Assassin's Creed 3 Deluxe Assassin's Creed Liberation HD Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Deluxe Battle Block Theatre/Castle Crashers Tomb Raider Guns of Icarus StarForge Gifted: ARMA III(Thanks a million Skwi) Dead Island: Epidemic Beta
The only game I purchased was Banished at 66 percent off during a Flash Sale... and a Mann Co. Key from the Community Market to trade for lolTF2cosmetics. There was not much on sale that interested me or that I did not already own. I was hoping to see Spintires and DayZ go on sale but that never occurred, so I held off on picking them up, which is fine as I still intend to play through the original Thief games I picked up last summer and have yet to get to.
All very good choices. I've spent hours upon hours in each. Except for Space Engineers, only minutes upon hours on that one.
Finished with: Skyrim: Dragonborn BioShock Infinite season pass for Burial at Sea episodes Metro 2033 Metro Last Light Endless Space Dishonored Wolfenstein: The New Order
I caved and bought: Metro Last Light Walking Dead Season 2 Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons RAGE Assassin's Creed 3 Standard Edition Shadowrun Online: Deluxe Package And from GOG Back to the Future I always do this... I always buy more games then I realize..
