Put this in the same basket as Star Conflict. Similar in scope to War Thunder but with the abilities/cooldowns of an RTMOBA.
my problem, looking at it, is that its hard to get a sense of the scale of the ships, because there are NO little ships. I have no idea if these things are huge or little remote controlled models.
I'm aware of the irony. But the fact is that these games are designed to grease as much money as possible out of people without letting you realize how much you're spending. You can drop a lot of cash and later be unable to say exactly what you got for it.
my guess is that budget concerns are probably affecting this. if i was them and had the cash to spend it, carriers with AI controlled fighters/bombers would certainly help solve that issue.
It would be a cool addition if they had a swarm of fighters for attack or defense, and managing them was part of what you did. You could set them to intercept incoming fire, attack enemy fighters to take down enemy defenses, or attack carriers to boost your dps. If you boost away your fighters need to be close to come along
So big it deserves ALL CAPITALS!!!! Dreadnought is your standard free to play battle game ala world of warships/world of tanks but combines some re-spawning aspects of a shooter to make the game more interesting as it goes. I can say having played a few matches today that it is quite fun, nothing quite like jumping forward dropping a torpedo salvo at point blank range and opening up with capital guns to destroy an enemy. Anyhow here iss some gameplay!
you can put a cephalopod on the prow of the ship as its figure head I predict Dihm will be getting the largest possible dreadnought tossing one on the front before preceeding to ram everyone he comes across
The game has respawns? WHY THE FUCK DO WE NOT HAVE MORE ARENA COMBAT GAMES WITH RESPAWNS?! I'm so sick of loading into a game. Standing around waiting for people to join. Moving into position. Shooting. Dying. Loading back out. Rinse. Repeat. Some of these games you actually end up spending as much time waiting/loading as you do actually playing the fucking game. If respawns are in for this game, that instantly changes my opinion of it beyond being "just another arena combat game".
I can't find anything but the Beta sign up... which says it'll email you when the next open beta takes place. I don't mind throwing a bit of money their way to guarantee access... bud I'd like to play what they have publicly available before a shovel them some money.
There are two founders packs available. https://www.greybox.com/store/en/ They are taking alot of players in beta, so you might want to wait for beta access.
