    Maybe i'm just remembering how inferior they seemed to be compared to mouse and keyboard. Hopefully it will be much better (so not one control scheme is alot better but more of really close to each other).

    The general consensus is that the game is looking pretty good. Development definitely benefitted from switching to the Unreal engine. Coop does indeed work. So far only instant action is playable, though. All that's left to be revealed is the main campaign.

    Of course there are a few (not here) who go "I need to play with my settings so the game doesn't look like crap". No. Those people need to accept that they are pixel whores and care more about graphics than story.

    They seem very few though. But the game does look pretty good. Better than I was expecting.

    Here's what we learned from Russ Bullock, President of developer Piranha Games, in a follow-up to our pre-launch interview.

    [...] As to RTX, we just found out yesterday that we're not going to have RTX at launch. There is a large committed effort to bring RTX to MechWarrior as soon as possible post-release. I am afraid that is all the details I have on the matter as of this time. Since our game release is so close to the Christmas break I would expect there to be an update very early in the new year.

    Bullock later added that NVIDIA DLSS should be introduced at the same time as RTX in MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries.

    Well at least he is saying it won't be in before launch day.

    Ray tracing. It's graphics tech that's only on nvidia's latest cards at the moment. Pretty sure it's still a small minority of people that would even be able to take advantage of it.

    Hi guys. It's been.......a while. Been spending most of my time with real robots (well, Lego EV3 ones) coaching FLL for my kids school.
    But, we had competition Saturday and did not make it to state. So, Im free till next fall.

    So, who's up for some CO-OP?

    I'm downloading this now. Hooking up the HOTAS and 70" screen since no VR for my Rift S yet. =(
    Major disappoint on that front, though I may try using my 3rd party VORPX. Just would prefer integrated VR.

    It's basically real time Ray Tracing. Makes games shadows, lights, reflections and such look and behave in a real manner. As in like real world physics manner. Playing a game with it then going back to without is pretty jarring actually.

    I think there are only 5 (well in the beta) joysticks that were actually supported. With more to be added.
