Something I never really paid attention to but just now noticed. Almost all of the Gundam series (Macross too for that matter), there doesn't seem to be any kind of regulation for the male pilots hair. Almost all of them have long hair. I can excuse fire bomber and the SMS guys in Macross Frontier since they are either PMC or super extra special forces. But of all the military groups I can't think of any where the male pilots have short hair. Other than in Macross Zero.
Even though Gundam Seed is an ok retelling of the original Gundam (it is pretty much the same story) my favorite part is still during the battle for Alaska base where Kira is telling everyone to retreat. "Please retreat as I fuck up your mobile suit and you probably can't retreat because you can't fly anymore"
Never knew where to start with the original Gundams really, Gundam Seed was easy to get into as a newer production and all and being so self contained. Also liked the story a lot. Seems like though that Japanese mainly only make anti-war pacifistic stories about war.
Not just bombed, the American submarines sank the Japanese merchant fleet to the extent that they ran out of ships to sink - the Japanese started to roll out historical wooden ships. Starvation, carpet bombings, atomic fire. And it dawned them that this was exactly what they had so fiercely and with such vigor visited upon their own neighbors. It's like this same story arc is so often being played out in Anime - the jingoists trying to launch and escalate wars, convinced their technology, determination or justification will see them through. Like in Gundam Seed, just escalating and escalating until the point where any further continuation would leave the world (or worlds) as atomic wastes.
Like they're trying to discourage people through story from making the same mistakes in history. ^.^ Though they do run both sides of the gamut, I mean, Gurran Lagann doesn't exactly preach restraint peace and love. XD
I really want to know why the artist decided Minora would wear a suit that absolutely looks like he's wearing a diaper. I mean, supposedly Minora designed it himself, does anyone really believe he'd design it that way?
Minoru, not sure why I got an A in there, probably just mixed his first and last. Either way, doesn't mesh with his character. Dammit, I just realized he's supposed to be a bowl of grapes... Yes, that's very him. >.<
Watchin' Rising of the Shield Hero. So the King summoned the four heroes of legend because otherwise they're going to get annihilated by the evil cloud things, but everybody hates the Shield Hero automatically for... reasons... so his partner robs him blind... so that... they can all die horribly... and the King is in on it so that he can... steal from... himself evidently? This world makes no sense.
Watched DOTA: Dragon's Blood the other day. Netflix delivering another good anime, lol. It reminded me a lot of Castlevania, so if you liked Castlevania you'll probably enjoy Dragon's Blood. Only 1 season, so far, unfortunately.
Oh wow. This is shit. It's Rick and Morty except designed by committee. Specifically the committee that canceled Family Guy when it was funny, then brought it back, then got stuck with the shitty version Seth MacFarlane obviously created just to punish Fox for canceling it in the first place.
Watchin' How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. It's basically if somebody watched Overlord and thought, well, this is perverted and slightly creepy, but it could probably stand to be more perverted and they made this.
This literally just... happens. They're in a dungeon crawl. And then they do an idol singer number for an audience of glowstick yetis. That's it. There's no missing context. There are no other musical numbers. It just... shows up.
Could hardly get half way through the first season. The over the top perverted nonsense was a little to much for me. Enjoyed konosuba a lot more.
