Nothing really beyond the events. The locations of the events had "hearts" (which are quests) that were fairly interesting. The events were quite fun, just not as rewarding as I had thought they would be (at least at super low-levels). The game was fun, but I felt like it is poorly optimized programming-wise, but that is to be expected in beta. Noticeable choppiness with many people around, but my my computer was barely at 50%. Noticed it wasn't using all 4 cores, but just 2, so that could be a bit of the cause. Not having the holy trinity threw me off quite a bit, at first. After I got beyond not knowing WTF to play, I just started going through em all. Still need to try thief, ranger, and warrior. So far the Elementilist I really enjoyed, and I liked the Mesmer a lot. Necromancer I was disappointed with, and the guardian was a mediocre class (but would be awesome with a group, I wager). Looking forward to the next beta.
I have prepurchased this and so bumping this to find out if there is still people interested about the game.
I'm probably going to pick it up - I don't know how much I'll be able to play it with uni, MWO and everything that's coming out this year though.
i would love to get it when it comes out i just hope there is no fall back on the expectations we all have of the game ...
I'd be interested, although I likely won't have the money available for a looooong time. By all means, let's start a guild in that too!
I.... just picked this up. I need an occasional change of pace from horse adventures once in a while.
I pre-ordered, played the beta but I have not actually bought it. I am interested, but not enough to sped 55 bucks right not. I will play at some point, but when I do I probably will play with my old SWTOR/Rift guild.
I keep hearing theres a HUGE problem with Hackers right now. so until they get that sorted I'm not even remotely interested in playing it. I'll be sticking with WoW and Mists of Pandaria
As far as i know and i play the game, the only problem is people being bumbass with their account names and passwords. Recent example i saw was guy crying on forums that he got hacked when he had been using same username and password for his game account that he used on several public forums, no need to say how stupid that is. There's been quite a lot of phishing mails but those are nothing new either. And usually people are crying hackers even when it was them buying gold/leveling service etc or giving login details to a not so trustworthy "friends".
As I know Chris got to experience, GW2 doesn't like americans fraternizing with us gmt people.... Therefore I just thought I'd give a heads up to any EU people looking to pick this up, Gabvid, Myrsky and I are playing on the Underworld server.
