Uh.. wut? Yet another bit of awesome that slipped under my radar. 3 factions. Sandbox/stumble-on questing. Skill combos. Realtime combat with blocking.
Gosh i hope combat will be at least somewhat better than in Skyrim, it developed way too quickly into spamming quick healing with axe in right hand.
Agreed with both of you. Elder Scrolls has always felt like a single player MMORPG what with all the wide open environments and huge cast of NPCs. Unfortunately, for most MMORPGs the combat is what keeps things moderately fresh/exciting for all that xp grinding... they'll have to either radically depart from their current combat system, or find an interesting way to handle progression if they want to keep anyone's attention. Hate to see this be another flash-in-the-pan type deal like ToR has turned out to be.
Why do they wish to destroy all good things in my memory repository? Elder Scrolls is a SP RPG, not an MMO. And now they rip the heart out of a fantastic IP (Oblivion being the exception) and try to turn it into......that! Kill it! Kill it with fire!
Ah well, everything has to become an MMO eventually, it appears to be the endstage evolution of all games.
Everything needs multiplayer now as everything is better with screaming 12 yr olds right? I just don't get why people now think EVERY game needs to be made for them.
Well there is always Dwarf Fortress, I guarantee that there are not many 12yr olds playing this game. It even comes with multiplayer function called save and send via mail/filesharing to next player.
It will probably be quite some time before the beta actually starts but yeah, nothing about this game has gotten me excited. That said I'm willing to give it a fair try if I get in.
