Here's our current list of available mechs: I'm sad there's no Shadow Hawk 2K by default. Also seems like some weight brackets are under-represented. Nothing some simple mods can't fix, though. I'm certain the designers had a reason for excluding these, but we will have to see if these make it into the final release. The black knight listed in the screenshot is probably a typo and is actually the 7 as the 6 has endo steel and BAP. The 7 has all the same weapons, but drop 2 tons of armor because of a standard chassis and no BAP. Which 0eo0le noticed the in-game black knight had 11 tons of armor which the 7 has not the 13 tons the 6 has. The 6 still could be in the campaign just in a star league cache or pirates hands. Any lostech stuff I think will only be in the single player. Since they were showing mostly the skirmish lab none of the lostech was shown (if any is in). Thus no lostech mechs would be there. That's a typo. Meant to be the 1D. Good eye. Yeah, I though that was odd too. Well I'm pretty sure the 7 or 7L will be in eventually so I will leave those there for now.
I updated the list. I also marked certain variants as "derivatives" of included designs. I suspect that the designers didn't want a ton of redundant designs with similar hardpoints in an effort to keep each mech feeling unique. However, there are a few that really stand out that have not been included. If they don't get an official release, I may look into adding them myself. If you guys notice something I missed, let me know and I will update the list.
The raven didn't make launch because they haven't decided how to do EWAR yet. It is supposed to come eventually. Also I think they either added crit points to all the mechs or lowered how many slots the ac20 needs (maybe both) because the centurion CN9A can carry an ac20 thus making no reason to make the cn9ah (aside from a cent that has an ac20 stock). Otherwise can't think of any you missed.
Marauder is definitely in the game. We saw it one of the early beta footages. It's probably in the same group as Raven, "coming later". Cyclops would make lot of sense too considering Ravens situation.
If the Marauder is really in, than what of the Warhammer, Archer, and Rifleman? I thought none of them were included because Harmony Gold was still sniffing everyone's ass about it and they needed to wait until Harmony Gold lost their court case.
I think a ruling was supposed to be made yesterday about it but no idea if it was or not. I think the warhammer and marauder files were in the beta skirmish (models as well) but turned off. As to the rifleman and archer I don't know if HBS even had plans for them. I don't remember seeing them mentioned.
Good to know. Either way, I'm fairly certain someone will get them added at some point. Personally I always loved the Archer. It's pretty much a better version of the Catapult in every way.
Yea the ruling is a day overdue but we probably wont hear about it definitely for another week or two any how. The Marauder and Warhammer are already in the base files, just turned off. The others haven't been included because of the on going issues that should resolve shortly.
Well previous court rulings decided HG doesn't even own the rights to the designs they say they do and I don't think they ever owned the art for that matter. So I don't see how they(HG) can win unless they bribe the judge.
I believe actually this marks the end of their shit, their tactic now simply amounts to 'abort, retry, delete!' anything to push a decision further out so they can keep their proverbial fat out of the fryer.
