Undeveloped fluffy bit: Basically limited production run attempt by Technicron Manufacturing to bring the quick draw to new heights in light of the clan invasion and the new technology for that time frame.

Basically this is an attempt from me to make a more reasonable mech to fill roughly the same role as the previously posted berserker within the era that seems to be the preferred one.

Features of the design include: cockpit popping punches, good speed, perfect heat management, decent long and short range brackets and a good electronic suit.

Well to be honest it is quite a major overhaul, the only thing that remains is the speed, the weight and the arms with hand and a single (but bigger) energy weapon.

The thing that makes me feel I can still say its a quickdraw however (besides the fact that its a logical look for a puncher) is the fact that there are cannon versions with endo, with c3 slave, with ECM and even an experimental version with TSM (among other fancier equipment)

*edit* Maybe I should give it: Hyper-Extending Actuators and non standard parts quirks, to simulate that its a quickdraw but also that it utilizes relatively advanced equipment for its time.

maybe one more "refit-friendly"? might be good to also make a non-XL and non-C3 version. those upgrades are pricey and/or somewhat rare :)

ferro-fibrous is very refit friendly; endo steel is less so, but it can be justified somewhat as an extensive refit.

Woops edited a post behind you there, I actually suggested a quirk based on the fact that the equipment is rare.

I think it would be hard to make a refit that is actually anywhere close in performance of this one if we stay in the 50s (there are better versions to base it of later)
Ferro will help a little bit but unless I go XL or lower the top speed it will remain a flimsy and under-armored thing if I keep the weapons. TSM ain't refit friendly either but if we drop weapons you might aswell drop TSM since it will have worse heat control (And I dont have the reduced energy rule on in my megamek). That way I think it sort of looses its charm (yes I am obsessed with TSM)

But such a simple version that only uses DHS and FF (that still maintains speed and increases armor) is possible. You are just sacrificing your electronics and punching power while at the same time reducing your weapon load to 2 PPCs and 3 MLs

Hmm wouldn't I have to factory refit anyway since the engine gets new internal Double heatsinks?

*edit* checked it, seems I don't have to do that. Changing heatsinks type is only a maintenance level refit.

The quickdraw helmet reminds me of a norse helmet.
