I can reiterate what MH said about his G700, only for the G500. I still also have my old G5, with the G400 seems to be based off of. I've had the G500 of over a year now, and greatly enjoy it. Frankly, I prefer wired mice over wireless for that specific reason of the battery life, and the very small extra bit of lag of mouse movements while using the wireless. Either way, the cord is stiff yes, but if you give yourself enough slack, it's really unnoticeable, and I personally really enjoy both the scroll wheel option and the three thumb buttons. I always have one of those keyed into comms, so I have a TS button without having to move my keyboard fingers to speak. The other two buttons are extremely useful as 3 and 4 weapon groups in 'mech games, and can be used for many other games as well.

I've actually considered modding a G700 with a new base plate to offer the thumb and pinky rests with all the joys of the logitech goodness

I've been running my Saitek RAT 7 MMO since it came out. It's a godsend for ppl like me with freakishly large hands.

There's a DPI switch to the left of your index finger, so full shifts are easy to do, and ANY of the buttons can be programmed with their software to do OTF dpi lowering as a sniper button.

I own a G700, It is a nice mouse but alway had trouble with the wireless, So i have to leave the Mouse cable attached all the time.
    I took a punt on this mouse instead, A Rapoo v8 http://www.amazon.com/Brand-Super-W...=UTF8&qid=1392627835&sr=1-1&keywords=rapoo v8

Not very well known in the west, Massive in Asia as pro gaming gear. I my draw i have a few Madcatz, Logitech's and some Razors. This Rapoo is the best of the bunch.

Same here, I don't bother going wireless. Seems like the battery dies superquick.

If I got a new mouse (which I don't need to), I'd go for that G602. I prefer the Logitech style, fits my hand/usage position

Same here, as I stated earlier in this thread I went from mx1000 -> mx1100 -> g700. I really like the "shape" and features. The aerlier were also wireless but the batteries lasted forever, easily a few months. But on this it dies quickly so I just use the cable.

I have the G700, and I do use the cable a bunch. However the nice thing is, you can just throw any standard rechargeable AA in the mouse and will work. So you do not have to worry about getting a specific replacement or the battery completely dieing. I really like the mouse. Going back to use the G5, I have a hard time with the lack of buttons and the scroll wheel. I love the scroll wheel on the G700.

So, I had the craziest dream last night, and I figured that this thread would be the perfect place to tell you about it. I'll just copy/paste the steam messages from when I told my brother earlier this morning:

Giggle Cheekz: I had the craziest dream last night.
Giggle Cheekz: So I dreamt that I contacted Razer about the build quality of the last two mice that I had.
Giggle Cheekz: Well, they flew me out to their headquarters
Giggle Cheekz: While I was out there, they took me on a tour
Giggle Cheekz: And that's when alien-infested employees there tried to kill me by locking me in a freezer
Giggle Cheekz: Luckily, one normal (and very sexy) woman working there was able to let me out
Giggle Cheekz: That's when I discovered that, in reality, parasitic aliens have taken hold of many employees at Razer, and are actively working to reduce the build quality
Giggle Cheekz: The hope is that the gaming community will forsake them, and the company as a whole will choose to redirect its focus to defense contracts
<brother's steam ID here>: wtf did you take before bed?
Giggle Cheekz: Which it can then profit from when open negotiations begin with the US (due to their agents infiltrating top tiers of the government as well)
Giggle Cheekz: When that came to light it started an all out bloodbath at Razer HQ
Giggle Cheekz: Sidearms and swords being the weapons of choice
Giggle Cheekz: After much carnage, the alien presence was wiped out, and the lengthy process of rebuilding began
Giggle Cheekz: ...it should also be mentioned that I got the girl and we made sweet, sweet, conspiracy-foiling love in one of the conference rooms. It happened to look just like the Oval Office.
<brother's steam ID here>: i wish i remembered more of my dreams. i never do
<brother's steam ID here>: why do you tell me these things

Moral of the story: It's not Razer's fault; aliens are making them do it.

Logitech just came out with a new mouse, the G502 Proteus Core. It's a 'tunable' mouse apparently. Allows users to tune the laser to get better DPI depending on the surface it's on. Plus it looks sexy.

    I want one.

Never thought of it that way.
My mouse is so big and heavy that lesser men can't wield it!

looks hot, I doubt they come in wireless, but at least it has the frictionless Scroll wheel I love so much from Logitech. (yes I know wireless isn't ideal for gaming, but neither is the 'cordless' mouse I typically end up with when I go with a non-wireless mouse, i.e. chair rolls over cord, cordless.)

Why is your mouse cord under your chair? Should be tucked up behind the desk and bundled with the rest of your cords, i.e the monitor cables, the power cables, etc.

I need Pics here Damion. Your set up makes no sense! Most Logitech mice have 6 foot cords on them, so having them run behind a computer set up doesn't seem to work in my brain. Pics or it didn't happen. :p

so, yes, I like to lean back and relax, so my mouse needs to be near at hand (and before you ask about the cords on the floor, those are all various charging cables for different items which I have in redundant multitude, so am not terribly concerned about their wellbeing) the desk is about four feet across to the backside of the computer, or two and a half feet if you try to shortcut, but that still leaves another three or four feet of diagonal. I could run it straight to the front of the PC but I'd rather not, as that tends to encourage cords getting run over by chair wheels (yes, if anyone notices, I also have a sword under my desk) also, I should probably vacuum sometime in the near future... it's on the to do list :p

That makes more sense, I suppose. Still, seems like a hassle.
