    I use AVG. It's because I'm cheap.

Avast anit-virus has a decent free part. They ask for upgrades once or twice a year, but you can just get the free one each time

AVG is also another good one.

AVG free is a good one. It doesn't eat up a lot of processing power.

I use Avast, and run Malwarebytes every couple months for insurance. If you've never used Malwarebytes, its the shiznit. They don't offer an actual antivirus for free though, just the remover.

I use malwarebytes, and I can confirm that it is the shit. Very low impact on resources and amazingly effective.

Atomic is right though, they don't offer it all for free. The scan and removal tools are free, but, if you want real time protection, you have to pay for it. I did, and it's been the best antivirus I've had.

I have all of my game projects and company credit card stuff in a big ftp folder "user":"password". Not been stolen yet.

As for antivirus, I don't believe in cylons so I don't have any and I keep all ports open.

    How come?

The folder as well as the hard drive are filled with saved images from Dihm links. It's like growing plants in liquid pesticide.

+1 to malwarebytes. I don't currently have an active antivirus system though, I may consider picking up Avast...

I've been using ESET nod32 for ages, never had any issues with it and seems to do the job!
