And it seems that things conspire against us brethren. Server was acting up and dropping repeatedly in the 30 min preceding as we were preparing. That in and of itself may have been salvageable depending on how long it lasted, but then my internet went out, so I'm having to update this from my phone. My current provider isn't really making that much of an effort given that Google fiber is acquiring most of their customers in a week or so. My apologies folks, between the server and my connection woes it just doesn't appear to be in the cards. If it does stabilize, I started to set some stuff up on the west coast of the island if someone else wants to take over the set up.
I'd say grab it on sale but unlike other games that we were originally based around playing this one actually is worth every penny and honestly I've had more fun in one night on it than the last year of pokemech
Just had a radiator failure in my cpu cooler and my comp bsoded. Be back in a bit gents! Update: back up again, just bought another H100 from best buy and will return it when the RMA comes in for this one. Hope you guys won the mission! Had a lot of fun this first day, even if we couldn't play on our real server.
I think Aspius had the right idea. Having some premade backup missions that one of us can host locally if the server acts up is a sound plan. No, it won't go along with whatever "lore" we have for our campaign, but it will at least give us all something to do if the server is borked.
Very odd. Not seeing anything that should have caused the server to shart the way I'm reading it described. No login-spam, no unexpected shutdowns. One thing: The hardware has been running non-stop for a few weeks. I'll do a restart of the whole kit later this evening when traffic is lower. Got some WinServer updates to do too.
