I'm guessing a lot of you are wargamers beyond BT, so just throwing this out there. There's actually a fairly large/active online community out there, playing maps from the Original Classic to newer versions and even online only maps. tripleawarclub.org It's free, fun, playable by email fairly easily, and might be a nice throwback if you haven't played it this side of the millennium.
Just giving this a bump since it's been a while and we've gotten a quite a few members since it was posted. It's a widly popular, free, and fun war game with tons of mods ranging from classic WWII scenarios, WWI, cold war, Lord of the RIngs, Sci-Fi... everything!
Another bump - I'm honestly amazed that there aren't any wargaming folks out there who haven't tried this!
Oodlez will bump us into oblivion soon!!!! I played it when a was a wee nipper sometime in the early 80s, I relate this game to that time, now i am having images of my mother with massive shoulder pads and hair that stood 12inchs straight up like a plank of wood. ''her name is rio and she dances on the sand'' i will check it during the week if i fancy it i knock you up.
Let me know when/if you do, it's fairly intuitive but it never hurts to play with someone when learning a game
