Building a desk

Yeah, I have my liquid cooling for the cpu already. I'm wondering if I'll even need one for the gpu with the amount of air I plan on forcing through the chamber.

My mind is starting to come up with designs, so I'll share with the class. Something like this:


But without all the damn lights and the whole thing will be a U-shape instead of an L like this one. I'm thinking I'll build a Gladiator style seat like this:


And mount it on some sort of rail system so it can slide in and out of the U's cubby. The whole thing will sit lower so my peripherals are at a comfortable height where I don't have to make my shoulders sore to play a game, with the pc internals in a raised platform similar to that first picture and the monitors on top. I'm going to grab a 5.1 surround sound and mount the speakers equidistant around the whole setup on poles so they all sit at the same height. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to have the mini fridge in the desk to one side of the chair, or if I want it outside of the setup to keep the whole thing from becoming an oven.

P.S. You're not green with envy yet. If it comes together like the image in my head has, then you'll all be envious.

 

You mean like, have a plastic surgery and shin extension/reduction to match your looks and height, stalk you, find out your stuff, abduct you and impersonate you to access your rig every day - envious?

Or simply ninja one's way into your house every time you're away just to get to be close to your rig - envious?

Because, sometimes drooling over one's keyboard just doesn't cut it.

better still, hiring a bear to come build it for us!
