I would like to open a thread here, offering video editing services, if you have raw video/ audio and would like to have it cut, but don't know how, or don't have the time. Please feel free to send me all files you'd like spliced, or added into video. Tell me what you want and I can see what I can do.

I use cyberlink power director 12 for video and avs4you for audio. I would really like to get into using Adobe Premiere, mostly due to the fact that CIG uses it for their production. I just don't have the income to cover an expense like that.

I want to gather projects and video's to show as a "this is what I've done, now hire me" portfolio. I might also be interested in attending video editing school, but that's a dream for another time. I tend to do things backwards, attempt to get a job first, then go to schooling, to get better at said job.

This is gonna come in handy! I've been wanting to do some video editing for a while but have limited capabilities with my system, storage space, and software knowledge. As a companion to training and unit promotion, it'd be cool to start making promotional videos to share on youtube and the mercs site. A good number of the videos for training modules will only be a few seconds to minutes long, how to pull off certain maneuvers as a team, setting up firing lines, targeting exercises in the training grounds, best methods of crossing terrain on all of the available maps, things like that. They'll be accompanied by written theory, short articles giving additional points to go along with the videos.

What's a good way to share video clips back and forth? I actually have a few clips that need to have copies in cyberspace before I do a hard drive upgrade, just in case things go bad transferring everything over.

Shareing of video can be done many ways, drop box'ed files are probally the "most secure" but if we did it in Team speak, then you could upload/ me download load, then delete the file before anybody else can get to it, might be "quicker", but drop box, we can open a folder on both our computers, and share using the "cloud" so we don't have to be online at the same time.

Dropbox sounds like a good method. We use it for work but I haven't really messed with it in my personal time. Lol, now I have a reason to!

Smart idea. You get to know if you really like the work before committing to school and you also know what they're talking about in school and benefit more from education once you have covered the basics yourself.

What's the Adobe Premiere cost, is it like ~120€ or so? Maybe we could as a group find the funds for you if everyone doesn't think that it's such a bad idea? I know I could pitch in a bit at this time if fluff and others are up for it.
