Hah! Not sure if the @ is needed. Haven't added any friends in cryptic games for ages. Just noticed the ones listed on my friend list starts with @
I like neverwinter, D&D, and the sword coast, but not so sold on MMOs in general, a little torn on this one whether to try it or not.
Don't take my word for it, seeing how I never played to more than level 10 or something. But the game feels more like a online co-op game to me. Shut down the general chat, group up with some pals and go in to a cave and whoop some kobold ass.
Yea, it doesn't feel very massive. The instancing makes sure you don't run into that many people when you are questing, and dungeons are dungeons.
I've made a character on Dragon, a Trickster Rogue named Davros. I'll probably make a fighter or something on Mindflayer...stupid 2 character limit
DnD based MMO? sign me up! I've been needing a good old fashioned fantasy mmo to play... My account name is watchit1337 I guess, but I'm still downloading.
DLing right now. For those that have played, how good exactly is the gameplay? I know it's described as an action MMO, and I don't have the time to youtube it at the moment, but could someone give me a brief overview? I loved Baldur's Gate (I & II) back in the day, but I never played neverwinter nights. From what I understand the gameplay will be different from the BG series however, since it's newer and, you know, actiony...
This is odd... I already have an account for Cryptic/Perfect World even though I've never heard of either of these companies. I doubt my email has been compromised, because after recovering the account and password they're both names/PW I normally use. EDIT: OK, found the issue. These guys also made Perfect World International. I played that game for all of two days. Also, after reading through this thread I'm not really sure I'll like this game. From the way some of you described it, it's coming off to me as a heavily instanced theme park MMO a la SW:ToR. I'm all theme park MMO'd out after WoW, Rift, SW:ToR, TERA, and GW2. Which is why I'm greatly looking forward to Archage and Star Citizen.
First person style rather than 45 degree bird's eye. You control one character. About as twitchy as it gets is holding down left or right mouse button and about 4 keyboard keys.
hey now, my character Fritz the Dark elf is a completely different character from Drizzt. Fritz uses two scimitars and has a pet leopard. completely different.
Cryptic/Perfect has a ton of various games... City of Heroes (now defunct) Champions Star Trek and a bunch of others.
