Hi all, after playing some days with you guys here is some feedback to the server settings: Kill messages badly need to be back in ! Yesterday noodles shot me but didnt finish the job I passed out, fell down he had aggro and was trying to shake it and by the time he was done clearing the Zombies i was awake again had bandaged my self and came back and killed him . Nice for me but not cool for him. You should see a message confirming your kill! Could we also get some info on : How many vehicles are there on the server ( how many boats how many cars, bikes , motorbikes, Trucks ... Can we have 2 or 3 choppers ? * Is it possible to make the day & night cycle faster ? 10 h days for example Crosshairs ? very controversal I know .. I prefer having crosshairs but im fine without too * would be nice to have more choppers cause they do give a huuge advantage and comfort. And if we have several teams it would be nice to give this advantage to more then 1 team. This is how I play: If Im playing im on TS. If not in an active channel atleast in afk so i can receive tells and if im alone and i dont receive a warning or an IFF in direct communication ingame I will shoot on sight and ask questions later. Firstly, I do not agree with regard to the kill messages. Why? Exactly the thing that just happened to you, now you actually need to confirm a kill. You can't just shoot people and directly know whether you killed them or not. Another point is that you actually need to get to the corpse to be able to confirm who it was. As far as I know, there is no way to change the day/night cycle, as you might've seen in the other thread we are talking about setting a fixed time though, so everyone will experience all parts of the day. I'm going to look into spawning more vehicles. I did increase it somewhat the day before yesterday, but it might be a good thing to increase it even more. Crosshairs are not going to be added.
What happened was unfortunate, but as this is my first attempt at banditry, I did think it was that big of a deal. To my knowledge, day/night cycle speed cannot be tweaked. I like iron sights only, makes targeting a bit more challenging. The number of vehicles seems fine to me. Once several are destroyed maybe we can add more but right now, as far as I know, everyone has had access to a vehicle, but still have to work at finding it... Except for Val >
Moar Restarts, plz. And some at night, if possible. Stale helicrashes and bugged vehicles make the unhappy.
You are correct, the server has been restarted. The amount of bugs and disappearing stuff is too damned high!!
Only restarted, which makes the problems you are experiencing weird. Unfortunately I can't do any major things right now with it since I'm away.... Might be the fact that I lowered the maximum amount of vehicles, but I don't think that should affect the ones already spawn, when I read through the code quickly, so I suspect something is up with the database. I keep getting some weird errors during startup that suggests that something has been changed that shouldnt have been changed in the database.
It was odd. I spawned, my tractor (R.I.P. GoGo! Tractor) spawned, but my ATV didn't. All the parts I had used to repair the ATV were back in the tractor (like a roll-back). All my personal gear was current. :boggle:
i did spawn without ANY equipment ... at all not even the flashlight / bagpack starting stuff xD and i was hungry and thirsty ...
Unfortunately it seems like you spawned in the debug fields Val and for some reason you couldn't get your equipment back even after disconnecting and reconnecting. That might have been a cause of the rollback Axe did a week ago. I spawned at my camp with a tent and my UAZ gone. Last night was awesome, Oodlez was sneaking up on David, Killbox and Unknown in Elektro while they were looting the supermarket. When I joined them the first thing I heard after stepping out of the vehicle was gunfire and found both Oodlez and Unknown dead lying next to each other.
I did actually - I'm sort-of-paranoid about any high value vehicle I have - I even sleep (log out) no further than 20 meters away from them, facing them. Something else is afoot... >.>
The vehicle had taken Holy Communion in the Church of Robotology, ie saved. I'm pretty sure vehicles are saving automatically when you disembark now (which is why they keep disappearing with rollbacks). Plus, the gear left in it was over a day old (quite a bit of it used to repair another vehicle). Also, did anyone find a tent with an M24, ammo, and some random food in it? I'm trying to figure out if the campsite is spoiled, or it bugged out with a recent restart.
id like to know if anyone found a tent with a DMR , FN FAL & a FN FAL with nightvision or if it just bugged out on me
Couldn't sleep - logged in to find my tent gone too - all my medical supplies and surplus food, all gone. (Been ill, btw, so will be back in it soon...)
