So my computer finally works again. House still being remodeled but I needed a destresser. Boy is this game clicking. I'm currently rolling around as a radical communist sorrycop trying to kick his alcoholism. If you have fond memories of Planescape: Torment, or Torment: Tides of Numenara, check this shit out. Steam and GOG
This game has popped up in like 5 different places for me in the last two days... probably means I have to get it. I've also heard failing skill checks can be amazingly hilarious so its good not to save scum
So, question, for fairly early on I believe in game... Spoiler So trying to get into harbor, seems like options are fight or 'join' the meathead at the gates or, after finding the hidden door, try to jump for your jacket. I keep failing the jacket check, I even tried save scumming it since its a repeatable check, but with a 40% success rate I literally failed it over 10 times. Were there options? Did manage to get in, found another few possibilities that I didn't track down too hard since I just leveled myself up to do one of the existing routes easier.
It IS possible to save scum rolls until you are successful. If that's ok with you. I do it on occasion. Story is pretty great, still haven't had any "action" but managed to die three times
I've died a few times. Its a bit random, some fails and some events just take off a health or morale point without there being much forewarning. I've mostly died of embarrassment so far, no actual fighting or health related incidents.
I'm stoked, apparently these games are becoming a 'thing'. Cyberpunk style one called Gamedec coming 2020
