The Skjaldborg dojo is a mess. It looks like it was designed by a crazy person. All jokes aside, I can understand how the dojo was never really a priority for focused attention. I don't want to sound ungrateful for the effort that was made; I really do appreciate the contributions that have been made over the years. It seems that over time various people added on to what existed before. In many ways, our dojo is very much like a Sci-Fi shanty town that grew over time. With Fortuna coming out and us making new efforts to get organized in Warframe, I was hoping we could make a floor plan that cleans up our Dojo a bit. We have a lot of dead space that doesn't do anything and we could probably benefit from having specific facilities within easier walking distance. For my part, I would like to see the Obstacle course, Dueling Chamber, and Observatory in closer proximity to other core facilities. I also like the idea of limiting the decks to three: Engineering, Research & Training, and Habitation (or something like that). Hunter Gamma has been active longer and contributed more than any of us in Warframe, so I am definitely looking to him for recommendations, but I would still appreciate whatever feedback each of you have to offer. I'll get my tentative idea of the layout out at some point next week. But, the plan was to get rid of empty clan halls. They don't really serve any purpose atm other than take up room and affect construction on other floors. Next, organize the reactors in better way on the bottom floor, while getting rid of those empty halls. Lastly, clean up the gardens on top floor and maybe move observatory somewhere else. And the materials from scrapped rooms and decorations will go to clan vault so you'll be able to use them again. In case you contributed to them in the past. Mostly talking about cleaning the gardens. I was also planning moving Storm barracks next to the Ghost barracks on the main floor for symmetry's sake. This requires some arrangements though so it's not gonna be topical until holidays. Maybe.
Keep in mind that some of those halls may no longer be obtainable, I'm not sure how it'd work if we removed them. Just be certain we aren't going to lose something unique for the sake of spring cleaning. Personally I don't see much need to change things around unless there is some kind of hindrance presented by the design, as it is. There are teleporters to bring you to the places that you want to go to, so their physical location is rather irrelevant. If there is not a teleporter to a place of relevance that can be rectified rather easily.
Yeah, we are keeping the original Hall and the 4 cross sections that extend from it (2 north and 2 south). Those are the only sections that cannot be restored to my knowledge.
That's one of the main issues with the current layout. Halls were placed randomly to just add capacity without thinking about future building placement. And you can't build any extra clan halls anymore, if that's what you were thinking about Damion The grand halls are still rebuildable to add capacity to Dojo. The one clan hall we have at third floor serves no other purpose than capacity booster atm. We'll see what to do with it at some point. The biggest capacity sink right now are the gardens and those need to be cleaned up. After rearranging the reactors and halls people can use to the top floor to build the gardens again. Good start would be to add second large grand hall right next to the one with two entrances side by side. Adds both capacity and symmetry.
We have the Ascension Altar. We've done one level up so far a while back. We are at level 10 right now with 74k to level 11, so no hurry. We'll inform everybody when it's topical. The new Corpus weapons which are in progress of being researched are worth of 15k and we have 9 paints not researched, which makes 9k.
Here's my current plan for the Dojo. The gardens can either stay as is, or we can clean them up and start building them bit more symmetrically. Your choice really. I'll just move the observatory from there to 1st floor for easier access and symmetry. The other obstacle course I intended to put on 1st floor is the new one that you can customize yourself. In case you were wondering. Some of the extra cross and t-connectors are there to take possible future rooms, like Kingpin "lab", into account. Questions and/or suggestions are welcome. My main goal was to put the clan halls in places where they aren't too much in the way, but still provide to capacity. And to add some A E S T H E T I C symmetry to the Dojo
I have some questions and suggestions, but generally speaking, this looks great. I will have to get back to you on this after the holiday.
When the larger halls are in place you can decorate those, or we can add couple extra Inspiration Halls for people to play around with. Or if we clean the gardens we can build it as sort of accommodation floor, where people can have their private "rooms" to do as they please with. Permissions might need to be looked at, but we'll see.
