Mario Level Creator Legend of Zelda: Fucking Skyrim Edition Legend of Zelda Musou (LoZ Warriors, Dynasty warriors style game. Midna's freaking cute.) Day 3 Day 4
I'm excited for Legend of Zelda "Skyrim addition" it looks fucking awesome. Also, it's strongly hinted that you'll be playing as Zelda. Also, when the Nintendo Press Conference started and the robot chicken skit started, at first I thought it was just a joke.
I don't know why the hell this hasn't premiered on the E3 streams yet, but if ya'll like ship-to-ship combat games and BIG ASS FLYING DREADNAUGHTS AND GUN SHIPS, I recommend checking out the eponymous Dreadnaught. It's being brought to us rom the guys behind Dead Island Two and Spec Ops: The Line. Also if anyone fluent in german can give us the rundown on the gameplay trailer that'd be nice too.
If it plays like this, it will be amazing. But I feel like this has huge potential to be another Aliens colonial marines.
I really don't know about this one. It looks like it might be fun, but there is too much I can already wrong. The scale seems totally off for the speed and agility of the ships. I also do not get why it is above a planet surface instead of in space. Maybe I am just a pessimist but I do not see it. It looks pretty though...
So far Aliens Isolation, Rainbow Six Siege and Tom Clancy's Division are the standouts for me. Hopefully some studios saved the best for last and we get more good stuff towards the end of the week.
Alright German Translation from the 2nd Video "The F2p-Developers Yager announce a space shooter Dreadnought. Who got a cramp from hearing f2p should be assured that Yager doesnt plan to milk it with a ominous p2w modell but plans to develop it togheter with the community. We are not allowed to say more but what we heard was calculated and fair. Dreadnought plays 500 years in the future after a war in which 2 big factions battled over resources. The player does not join a faction but plays as a renegade that fled war to save the own crew. We are still not lone wolfs since we can join alliances, the teamwork is in foreground as lone players will have a hard time. There are 5 ship classes with different variants. Destroyer is a classic warship while the Artillerycruise is a sort of sniper. Corvette is the smallest and most nimble ship that is good for guerilla tactics. Tactical Cruisers are a type of healers (thats weird, ship as a healer tf?). Dreadnoughts are big humoungous Battleships that have huge firepower, as we can see here (1:35 in the video). The battles play unconventional in a good way. The ships behave rather slow according to their size and to be effective you have to effectively use their special skills. While you should be moving with the corvettes at all times, youre better of looking for a hideout outside the battle with the artillerycruiser. The Destroyer and Dreadnoughts are pretty slow so you usually try to face the enemy with your broadside where you can point most of your firepower at them. The maneuvering is pleasantly reminding of AC4:Black Flag. There are 4 skills for every ship class and primary and secundary turrets so that you can prepare yourself for every possible situation in battle which gives it alot of tactical depth. You can also manage your energy which allows you to pull up your shield. Dreadnought shines with a lot of action that feels powerful, despite its slow pace. Its still to early to judge the game but it posseses alot of potentail." Hope you can deal with my broken english. ^^
What the F have you been taking. Of course they can. It's not as if bipropellant chemical rockets were some Universal Ultimate Propulsion System. You can always use fission, fusion and antimatter power source for electric propulsion or you could try and just use nuclear or antimatter propulsion system. The main issue with making the power source into propulsion system is the difficulty of containing the immense amounts of radiation spouted out of the nozzles. But there's nothing fundamental stopping a big ass ship from flying in atmosphere if it's equipped with sufficient power. Maybe what you should be saying that for a ship of that size and similar density to a naval battleship the exhaust seems a bit thumbed down. The exhaust should be as bright as some relatively dim star, with exhaust coming out at 50.000 km/s, so basically if you fly over an enemy ship, the enemy ship would be utterly annihilated by the blast. The whole ship, if flying low, would quickly be enveloped in a cloud of extremely hot gases as debris ejected from the superheated ground below. Why would anyone go to a planet? Well, suppose you beat the crap of the enemy on orbit. "Now, Surrender to us!" -"no." "We'll bomb you to bits" -"go ahead." "No, we want your stuff!" -"not gonne give it up." So, unless you came prepared with a purpose built mech, you could simply compare the surface gravity to your ship's sustained acceleration and if it's positive, no problem. Theoretically, even if it was slightly negative you might still be able to levitate due to the aforementioned blast effect on the ground causing explosive lift that hits your belly plating and pushes your vessel upwards. There's also the point that, even if you had the mech, wouldn't your actual ship pack a heck of a lot more punch? Just, if I had that much power, I'd put at least one X-Ray laser system with multiple turrets on the damn thing. X-Ray, when used in atmosphere, is absorbed by the atmosphere and if it's anything like our terrestrial atmosphere then it would ignite the atmosphere much like nuclear weapons do. So the whole length of the beam would cause an explosive shockwave and a neat fiery light effect. And if you hit the enemy with sufficient power, you can either penetrate his armor instantly or even if you don't, there's a chance for impulse shock within the armor.
IF you asked me, Tactical Ship would be better as providing a shield/shields to friendly vessels rather than being some Monk/Healer of the skies. Though I suppose it could be possible if it was some short of Shipyard Ship that housed a fleet of repair drones and materials? That would quickly make it less optimized for straight battle, the main question is how much do you have to bend from scifi to fantasy to justify a massive ship being fixed in an instant by small mobile systems.
My guess is that they (PCGames) dont know themselves. The Tactical cruiseres where always just briefly mentioned and never really given any attention, so my guess is that they didnt get to play them, and they didnt get to have too much info on them either. So yeah I doubt they'll have a straight up healer in the game, its clearly not a game that strives for realism, so the discussion with Fet seems kinds pointless, but I doubt they will have somethin like a healer. Maybe the tactical cruise will be the sort of plane that can dispatch repair bots, give shields to teammates etc...
