Last time I played EVE online, I set up my abilities to be a miner. I literally played this game afk. I beat Zelda Twilight Princess and took about ten shits. Is this normal or should I go to a doctor and get my pooper looked at?
Yes. You either run missions to make money, or you mine to make money, or do all this other shit that is boring and repetitive. Maybe it's cause I was poor and had shit skills, but I didn't get involved in any PvP, no clue how I would have made money from that in order to keep PvPing... Time sink is sunk. Progress Quest here I come.
I couldn't get into it... Especially after I lost a ship doing some stupid mission and it had all my good shit on it. I was not a happy camper.
The first time I played I had the exact same reaction. Had every last credit into a ship, gear, etc that I lost due to a mission (which was pocket change compared to anyone who had been playing a week or 2) but I was soooo pissed and rage quit.
aye i be a rockin in the land Of EvE,,, look me up, i'm a semi reformed pirate... same name Togg Bott.
Malfactor is my main. Alts: Xanis Rote, Zwisto, and Otema. If anyone has anything cool going on, let me know. I've not played in ages, and would love to go on a roam with some of you. Sitting here wasting my 100m SPs
Skeggox, Ikeano & Rasmus Sen are my mains. I moved into WH space after NC collapsed last year, havent been very active of late but still run 4 accounts. I'll be selling a few toons to get back in a Nyx. I'm game for roams or hot dropping on folks with caps or Black Ops.
Would really like to get back into Eve but will have to see with my new job, also sounds as though Id could be the odd one out with you lot being an industry main but I should have a ton of RP and I do have a Nemesis I can pilot.
It, like any other game, can eat up time if you let it. Training, now that is going to eat up a lot of time but at least you continue to train while logged off.
One of the biggest saving graces of the game. You don't have to be logged in to train. However, it's also one of the biggest downfalls in that you will never compete at the same level as those who've been playing for years.
My indy toon lives in a falcon and I have more fun with him than my cap pilot. Any T2 is helpful, always room for bomber pilot. If you get enough covops and recon pilots, covert cynos can be a lot of fun. Plus I've been itching to get my Sin exploded.
Bone can pilot a Panther maxed out ^_^ and ive got a hulk/retreiver/orca combo from my 3 accounts so indi can be supplemented by the High sec stuff I can grab. And better if some one with scanning talent (read: havent been able to scan down a site since the mechanic was introduced) I can even find some low secish ores hidding in .5 systems. All i'd need is a hauler so I dont loose my bonus every 20min when I return to station.
Scanning blows, my WH has about 20 sigs in it atm and Im too lazy to scan them all down. With Astrometric Rangefinding and Astrometric Pinpointing to 4 its fairly easy. I use a Tengu (Electronic Subs 5 w/ Emergent Locus Analyzer) with Gravity Capacitor Rigs and get most sigs on the 3rd or 4th try. Covops are cheap and do a decent job for less than 30 mil.
Think I had a hulk or retriever on with mine as well, my skills though were mostly in production. Wanted to be able to and did build some T2's
