It looks like most of the issue with the game is the fact it is repetitive, and the fact that the DLC and cash shop items are horrible.
Not THAT bad as far as I understood. As Joe said, the price is just too high for the amount of content. Gameplay seems to be a ok and very entertaining with good company.
I will indulge my inner human need to do this and I say I fucking called this. The game never looked like it was worth $60. 30 sure, but not but the full release cost of 60. Then again, very few games are worth the full 60.
My take on any game is it needs to provide entertainment in hours as it's cost so a $60 dollar games need to provide at least 60 hours of entertainment (1 hour per dollar). so it is much harder for games that are at that $60 point. most games that are around $20 have provided far more entertainment then their cost. where the games that are $50-60 have a far harder time to achieve that. alot of them I get bored after one playthrough. also alot of those games you can beat in 10 hours average.
Bought CoD Modern Warfare 2 for $40 used. Played for about 10 hours. Bought Terraria for $2.50 on steam sale, played for over 140 hours.
wow... Yahtzee nailed it in that first minute of the video. so have people already gotten bored with this game yet?
I take it that is yes... yes, people are already done with this shit. Well at least Titanfall can keep it company I guess. I think the lesson here is don't pre-order for AAA games. Shit.. maybe don't pre-order at all unless you are certain you were going to buy it anyway.
*Casts Rise Dead Thread* Serve me again, puppet! So, just FYI, Evolve is now free to play. Could give this a try now and we could maybe do event for it too.
Was just talking to Magnus about the possibility of that last night. All the content is supposedly available through gameplay now too.
I thought I detected Necromancy! Yes, I came sniffing about looking to see if an ancient relic of a thread existed at some time in the dark past. I see my archaeological instincts are still sound. So, who wants to get their freaky monster on?
This game is a cautionary tale... Watch this again every time you are considering buying another expensive pre-order: If you see similarities, buyer beware.
